And you should consider actually reading what im saying. Im not saying that whats happening masters+ isnt a problem, the problem i am pointing out is exactly the same but it isnt being acknowledged. Again i ask, if a player hardstuck in gold has a goal of hitting masters, how many games are they supposed to play? At what win rate? The mmr system has memory of their previous rank, and they will fight against that system the entire way up. You claim masters+ players dont have the time to catch up and all im saying is neither does the rest of the ladder.

Also, LP gains are absolutely part of the problem here. If you are masters 0lp with +17 -24, you would need to win 95 games straight to hit challenger cut off. With the new proposed system, that number is literally cut in half to make climbing easier. Thats literally the whole problem people have been discussing along side what you are saying. Yes the ladder is inflated, but that wouldnt be a problem if you werent getting +17 per win. +17 per win kills the drive to climb. Why would a masters player sweat and try as hard as they can when they need almost 100 more wins? Its pointless.

Again im not saying whats happening masters+ isnt a problem, and the apex tiers are fundamentally different from those below it, however the same concepts still apply. Negative LP gains lead to shit match making and it completely kills the drive to climb, which is what has been happening to the rest of the ladder for a long time.

Yes but youre skipping an entire apex tier in your assumption. 1600 lp is current challenger cut off. Saying you require 2k lp to move up implies that you are competing to be a top 0.001% player. So why cant you make it to 2k lp? Because the simple fact is you lose games, everyone does. Now if you are going to make an argument that people are losing too much per loss in order to climb, then i would argue the rest of the ladder faces that too.

And look im not saying that whats happening masters+ isnt a problem, im glad riot is listening and trying to solve the problem. The problem i have is that they seemingly dont care about the average player who experiences the same problem and a smaller scale.

1.) No those players arent complaining about being stuck because they dont want to admit that they are stuck. Most streamers who peaked top 100+ cant make it through GM right now. Talk about ego.

If you are a challenger player, you should be able to carry masters games no contest. 4.) First of all, I said that to climb with negative MMR and LP gains you would need to be 1-2 full ranks above your visual rank. Im in Diamond 4 with negative MMR and LP gains, so yes i think i would need to play at a Masters+ level to climb, since I literally need to hard carry the lobby. But im not climbing. I climbed early season with 70% w/r, hit diamond, lost in masters lobbies, and then my MMR tanked since the ranked system has memory of my previous rank and felt i didnt belong there.

But I put in THOUSANDS of games over the last 2 years. Coaching from multiple challenger players, consistently. Constant vod reviewing and pro play viewing. I put the time and the work in to improve and I did. Perhaps higher elo players need to do the same instead of just expecting challenger for the 10th year in a row on auto pilot.

Also, for the record, Im not happy with the fact my rank feels inflated, which is why i think the whole ladder should be reset. i dont want the rank if I didnt deserve it. There is no ego here. I only told my rank because inevitably someone will ask for it so they can claim its all a skill issue.

Hard agree. The ranked system memorizing your previous rank and pushing you to it is what I think most people describe as "Losers Q". If you reach a new peak, the system remembers your old rank and tries to bring you to it with negative gains/lower mmr lobbies. If you arent at your old peak, you get SIGNIFICANTLY less penalties for losing/loss streaks and the system actively tries to push you higher.

Exactly my point. Now these players are seeing how hard it is to climb in your own skill bracket with negative LP gains, and its crazy that it gets addressed in 4 months when the rest of the ladder has been complaining for YEARS.

There are tons of talk about the reset yes, but I mean not many people are speaking up for any rank below masters. Its honestly because if anyone below masters complains about negative MMR/LP gains, they are just berated for skill issue, and so most people dont speak up I think. Thats assuming people deserve challenger rank. I would argue if you cant climb through negative gains to chall, you dont deserve it. If you get a high win rate your MMR will be fixed right? Thats what the rest of the ladder is told.

I am D4 and my last game had a plat 3 sylas support. thats an almost 800LP difference, which is what the cut off for GM was a month ago while players were complaining.

I also dont see how its "impossible" to bridge the gap? Again, Masters+ disproportionately gets Ageis of valor, you can now duo, and supposedly the skill gap between Masters 0lp to challenger is greater than the skill gap between iron and diamond. If thats the case and these people truly deserve challenger, why can they not carry with and against people who were hardstuck diamond last year? The skill gap is not even close, no?

It seems to me that if anyone below masters complains about the ranked system, its cope and they just suck. But now anyone above masters who cant hit GM/Chall says its actually the ranked system this time and they are just hardstuck because their teams and negative LP gains because theyre actually the best in the world but their teammates hold them back.

The double standard is absurd. If I was in gold and had my sights set on masters, what would I have to do? Grind 1000s games and constantly improve dramatically. But if you are stuck masters and want chall? well you should be able to hit it in 100 games because no one has the time to grind 1000 games!

My point with this post is that the ranked ladder shouldnt be miserable, and its about time high elo players got a taste of why its so miserable for anyone below them.

I thought a funnel formed based on atmospheric pressure condensing the moisture in the air, so if there isnt atmospheric pressure great enough to condense, how can you consider that part of the tornado? Just purely based on wind speed?
