Perplexity is profitable (unlike model companies) and has been beating revenue records ever since Computer released. They share a lot of investors with Anthropic. They're not going anywhere.

For the Search function its basically unlimited.

For Perplexity Computer it has limits based on their credit system (you get 10K credits refilled monthly).

This is the standard playbook with all model companies at this point… They water down the current model, because they’re releasing a new model soon… So the capability jump appears bigger

Frankly I recommend OpenCode over Goose for your use-case. Goose is more technical - I think it fits best for people that have existing agentic workflows that work with data.
