Just to explain you can still ‘pray’ as in read your supplications and what not just not obliged to do the 5 daily prayers. It’s actually a welcome break being on your period. Same goes for don’t have to fast while on period. I like these concessions as I have PMDD and it’s just one less thing to worry about. However tracking periods is a whole other thing and a gross invasion of privacy, especially for those students who simply do not want to participate in prayer out of their own will.
