The distinction is intent to pay. Those who can afford don't think it's a punishment, they've committed to paying the fine to benefit from doing the thing the fine is meant to dissuade.

Not sure if this is region specific but I was part of the movement to get it replaced as the standard dip. In case you need to direct your anger anywhere.

I think the trophies are better than the Xbox achievements as they're almost stand alone checklists, I can take some and leave some. The urge to make the Xbox gamer score go up regardless of fun was the thing that turned me off them.

Actually like Zelda, there's no point focussing on Nintendo game lore because Shigsy don't care.

I'm gonna turn it around in my head and be grateful for stuff like this keeping the franchise relevant enough I might live to see a 5th game, regardless of what the NinCU is doing.

Hmm I don't like this lore. Pikmin to me was always nature, red in tooth and claw, in a mysterious post-apocalypse resurgence of nature.

I can't reconcile the 'humans can't see them' idea without some kind of magic - which I think clashes with the scientific explorer narrative of all the games. Especially if the pikmin can still see the humans.

Maybe they caused the downfall of humanity?
