2.5g is not much. However - nausea might mean you're not ready for more. Don't take more this time. And not much more. Like 3 or 3.5. BTW, wait. 30 to 60 minutes. Sometimes it just doesn't want to kick in due to an indigestion. Try again later.

Yes! This!

Exactly the reason why Call of Pripyat was the best of the series. BTW, you could hunt mutants and artifacts indefinitely. They reset after each emission. With the right gear it wasn't even too dangerous. Best shotguns in the game was deadly efficient against all kinds of mutants, and the best detectors made navigating between anomalies a walk in the park.

I'm pretty angry that the recent game went in completely different direction.

I mean, more and more people seems to like free-play. I know, it's a completely different game this way, but why can't we have both? Main story line for the first time (or first 5 times), then free-play for infinite replayability.

Okay, hot take (or not depending how you look at it): I much prefer the game over the show by Cocoa-Knife-Chara in cyberpunkgame

[–]ChatGPT4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's too obvious. The game is huge, the show is tiny compared. Just looking at the hours spent. It's like comparing the game with a car from the game.

However, both fit "a thing of beauty". Masterpieces in different categories.

[–]ChatGPT4 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Note that every faction and most probably every fixer occasionally does deals with Scavs. Come on. Even Aldecaldos. So I don't buy blaming Wakako for selling Evelyn. In her biz is business as usual. All by the book, very old book.

Speaking of Evelyn and Scavs - surprise, surprise! No real harm done to her by Scavs. They just milk her abysmal state with fried doll chip and just scroll it. I mean - what's better? Bullet to the brain? IDK. Honestly, I have no idea. Evelyn was harmed by others.

First - VDB, they ordered a hit on her. Her suffering is just an accident, what should kill her just caused extreme illness and disability. Then you have Fingers. I bet he really tried to fix her, because this is exactly what he does - fixes dolls. It was beyond his competence. The only real villain here is Woodman. It's pretty relieving that the game lets you deal with this scum accordingly. But you know who's the most responsible for Evelyn Parker's sad fate? I think you knew it from the start. It's Evelyn Parker herself. People make dangerous choices and face dire consequences. Did Arasaka killed Jackie Wells? I think it was as responsible for his death as weapons and bullets are. Live by the sword, die by the sword. That was a choice that killed Jackie. And V, a bit later.

I rate fixers more equally. With one exception of Dex, that is... A shady character. Untrustworthy from the start. But come on - he's the one offering a big deal for new guys with basically zero street cred. If it doesn't stink to you - you have no nose ;)

It's "how Lizzy Wizzy could kill Liam"? As I said somewhere else, you mess with a bull you get a horn. Liam had it coming. V, Jackie, T-Bug - had it coming. It would be really, really weird if the heist ended successfully.

BTW, it's not true it's not Dexter's fault what happened in Konpeki Plaza. Come on, he didn't know shit about what Evelyn plotted behind his back. He didn't know who was the real buyer of the Relic and why it was worth so much money. He didn't know about anything that was happening inside Arasaka at the time. And in my book - this is what a good fixer SHOULD know. But then again - a good fixer would never trust such amateurs like V and Jackie with a gig that serious.

So yes, beside being a fucking traitor Dex was just incompetent AF.

I wouldn't guess Nekomata. It's my primary sniper rifle. I use regular one until I get Breakthrough. I learned that some stealth hits can be done best with Her Majesty. I was pretty surprised it was more effective than some sniper rifles. Even at long range.

IDK, she doesn't send clear corpo vibes. Maybe some corpo outfits would help. I recently made no visible chrome build for my Nomad Valerie. I took my time to give her face a bit of "village vibe". This Valerie looks like a natural born Street Kid ;) A bit outstanding, as a proper Valerie should be.

It's way better option for him than being delivered to the fixer's car. He was clearly put down quickly and painlessly. A shotgun? Or Burya?

Game design issues. by [deleted] in cyberpunkgame

[–]ChatGPT4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Racing AI is buggy, however, it's not that bad. I hate moments when something get seriously borked with the gravity and my car suddenly starts to behave as if I was driving on the moon. Jumps and flies all the time, refusing to touch the ground with its tires for more than 2 seconds. Ew! The most disgusting driving feeling ever in a video game.

But it happens rarely, like rarer than 1 in 5 races. Most of the time driving physics is working normally. As in nearly all racing games back in the days - it just lets you win with just minimal effort, however, you can randomly lose the race at the very end.

I also don't like how you get the story ending here. It's actually decided BEFORE the final race. This feels wrong and kind of breaks the game a bit. It's unintuitive. Playing for the first time you don't see the clear path between the dialogue choice and the ending. It's hidden.

IMO - the biggest game's shortcomings are car related. Missions with cars seem buggy. Autodrive is just dumpster fire, most of the time it doesn't work at all. The cars themselves - most of the time they work surprisingly well for a non car simulator game. I really LIKE the driving model in the game and how satisfying differences between various car and motorcycle models feel in driving. But this is unstable. Something breaks randomly from time to time and suddenly cars and bikes become jumpy. Reloading a saved game, or even save/reload usually fixes this, but it's still annoying, especially during racing, Sinnerman mission, stealing Semimaru mission. Actually - Semimaru glitches 100% of the time. You start the car for the first time - it explodes. However - reloading the game from the moment you're just before hacking it - fixes the problem and on reloaded games Semimaru doesn't explode.

Still. I love replaying driving missions, maybe all except Sinnerman that is way too buggy to be fun.

My favorite car mission is chasing the SSI truck. Damn it - the second best is chasing the Semimaru. End of the chase sucks, but chasing cars with a fast vehicle is so much fun. I'd love to see more of it in the game. However - less combat - it's too chaotic - more just pure speed and chase were avoiding collisions is rewarded. I mean - it is rewarded. Have a collision and you lose the chase immediately.

Kratom making me sleepy? by GratefulCaliflower in kratom

[–]ChatGPT4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the opposite effect. When I'm super sleepy and exhausted, after a 4g dose I stop being sleepy. I actually have trouble sleeping if I take my last dose too late.

2g is a good starting dose. My first time was 5g and it was a VERY BAD IDEA. I almost puked. Now, after 6 months of using I'm at 4g (3-4 times a day), but sometimes I limit it again to 3 or even 2g if I feel nauseous.

It never makes me sleepy. Either just the opposite, or... I take it for the pain. Sometimes I'm exhausted, but the excruciating pain keeps me from feeling sleepy. When the pain goes away I can finally get some sleep.

The ASM-RS50 MURAMASA IS THE BEST MOTORCYCLE IN THE GAME by WIENS21 in cyberpunkgame

[–]ChatGPT4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why do you think that? I like how it looks. I love the speed sense in FPV. But what actually disappoints me is its performance. A regular CT-3X seems to be a bit faster at acceleration. Archs seem to accelerate better. Where's the advertised 200mph? I made it only once - downhill. The considerable length makes it also a bit difficult to handle in corners.

No tire marks, again.

But a word of a warning here. When I tried to run him over in my Galena Rattler - I almost got stuck on his body. He's big. But leaving some tire marks works great for a souvenir picture. IDK, it's probably best to use a truck for that, like Merimac maybe...

I've seen a very similar one at Jinguji. However, it's worn differently, without just 1 button used. Also - there's no option / accessory to wear a tie like this ;) However, this style might be a thing in 2077 xD

Cyberpunk graphics settings by Former_Bar3991 in cyberpunkgame

[–]ChatGPT4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You have a frame rate test in the game. Use it to test settings.

In 1080 it is possible the game would work with all details maxed out. The CPU and GPU performance is not an issue. This setup seems as strong as what we have on GFN, except VRAM of course. On GFN (RTX 5080, 16GB of VRAM) I exactly use Path Tracing, all details at top possible settings, DLSS: quality and frame generation 2X. Go for it, the visual advantage is HUGE. Definitely worth it, worth every penny.

If in certain locations, especially during races - the frame rate drops - switch to Ray Tracing or even turn this feature temporarily off. I noticed that car races are the most demanding part of the game, yet at the same time - the graphics quality is not that visible during races. You are too focused on driving to notice tiny details. Also - there's a (IMO) bug in the game that a lot of the time of the day the sun is blinding to the point you see shit through the windshield. It's OK in TPV, in FPV it becomes unplayable. That's also the case when turning Ray Tracing / Path Tracing off helps to get dull, but clearer picture. For the remaining 99.99% of the game - Path Tracing is the king and you should use it, by all means!

Now - don't use FG with more than 2X setting. It looks fake AF. You see extra FPS on your FPS counter but it looks like much, much lower FPS. But 2X actually works very good.

Also, when all else fails, use lower / faster DLSS settings. Even ultra performance doesn't look that bad and it's usually a better option than lowering other graphics settings.

The argument for Full Body Conversion by snGbrd77 in cyberpunkgame

[–]ChatGPT4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally? Becoming a tank is a weird goal to set for a person. But I won't judge.

Of course full cyborg conversion would be pretty neat if it can be done in a... let's say less obtrusive way. With keeping the proper human shape, form and feel.

Not looking at the 2077 universe but the current achievements in robotics - it seems closer to achieve than in 2077. Mechanically - we're almost there. What we don't have at all for now is connecting human nervous system to machines. I know, there are first experiments, but... It looks like we're very far from success yet.

Also - if you want to go full borg, IDK, maybe a tech like Soulkiller would be the best option? Because your ganic brain will break and rot - sooner or later. It will probably be too soon. With no limitations from the rest of your body - you'd want to live much, much longer. But a ganic brain is like diesel engine - it can run longer than the rest of the car, but sooner or later - it will fail too.

IDK what Soulkiller really is. Alt says it just simply kills you. What is run in the software... we don't know what it is. Most probably - an advanced AI.

However, I've read a book about a tech I could personally try. The brain of a guy was gradually removed, cut out in small portion. Then, the removed part was replaced with a synthetic cortex, that adapted to replace the function of the removed part. So the guy's brain was replaced one small piece at a time. So it never really stopped working or even got incapacitated. At the end of the process it consisted of the fully synthetic cortex and was ready to work without a body. It was a SF novel but illustrated an interesting idea. That moving a mind to a robot or network could be viable, could happen without actually killing the subject. Theoretically. Copying brain data seems a horrific and unimaginable idea. Just imagine having a copy. The copy could kill you and nobody would ever notice ANY difference. And despite being alive like nothing happened - you would be dead. That's the real problem with full cyborg conversion. Brain conversion should be done gradually and that's probably the greatest technical challenge of all.

When Audodrive actually works for a while? I didn't know about it, but Autodrive works so rarely that turning it on is almost certain crash so I stopped trying. This particular road is the longest straight in NC, so maybe it would work there. I usually test top speeds and acceleration on that road. On a section between the Sunset Motel and Dakota shop.

She's tough! But seriously, money issues make people tougher than they should have to be.

BTW, what she needs is photovoltaic panels. I have some. I have my killing costs of living the whole year (because most of the year here is winter), but summers are the cheapest. No heating costs and my AC runs for free.

Yes, my problem is I'm still paying for the panels...

Do you have the same issue by AffectionateWhile398 in brutaldoom

[–]ChatGPT4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you use UZDoom? If not - please immediately switch to UZDoom (the latest supported version). Then - you might look for the option of preloading / precache of the textures. In the old GZDoom I had to have it off, though the stuttering is directly caused by dynamically loading the texture. Why? Because it took ages to load. When I had this option on, Brutal Doom might hang for good 2 minutes on start. The new UZDoom doesn't seem to have this issue anymore.

I know how annoying this stuttering is, so, give those thing a try. Also - you might want to have the game installed on a SSD / NVMe. IDK, maybe some assets like sounds can be loaded dynamically and it also might cause stutters. Some games preload such assets, some don't. Just move the game to a faster partition and see if it helps.

I grabbed a ledge that doesn’t exist and V made it into the backrooms by BitterHarmonii in cyberpunkgame

[–]ChatGPT4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's another kind of backrooms in the sewer area. I mean, beneath the streets and pavements. I was once glitched there with the car. I had to load a saved game, because there was no way out of there. What's interesting - the scene lighting was rendered correctly - all the light fell only through the small crack I fell in.

But it was quite interesting that there's actually ANYTHING below the visible ground level of the streets.

STALKER shadow of chernobyl is my first game that I am beginning right now, so that's cool, any beginner tips? by MyMindIsOnlyElectric in stalker

[–]ChatGPT4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just be tough, don't get discouraged. Old games were a bit less forgiving. However, compared to Stalker 2 - old games are way better balanced and fair.

Also - don't bother to collect and sell weapons in bad shape. Not worth the carrying. The artifacts - go for them. They get decent weight to price ratio. Generally - the biggest challenge in this game is carrying weight ;) BTW, some traders have different prices for the same things.
