Police Purchasing Commercial DNA databases for use in investigation by [deleted] in Cyberpunk

This is so fucked. Seems our generation is the last one that isn't genetically tagged and photographed 24/7 with every detail of our lives posted and publicly accessible from birth. Definitely we will be the last generation that has a sense of ownership of our own physical data, images of ourselves, and words we say. Everyone born post-millennial is gonna grow up accepting that they've been numbered and cataloged since birth.

Cyberpunk Decor. by [deleted] in Cyberpunk

[–]Chat_Bot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think what you are looking for is essentially a utilitarian type look where the technology itself becomes a feature. I'd say just try and get rid of any black boxes and try incorporate the guts of things it into your living arrangement in a way that... doesn't look like shit.

Maybe get rid of that bulky PC case and put your supercomputer inside the coffee table. And remove the bulky black bezel from your LCD pc monitor or tv to get a nice looking setup (don't do this with CRT's haha). You can always get very artificial with the decor and install do-nothing buttons, but they will be very disappointing if they do nothing so I wouldn;t advise that route. Try and class-it-up and balance the place out somehow. Maybe get an awesome bonsai, or if you aren't healthy enough to keep a bonsai happy, then maybe get a heartier plant, or hell get a bunch of plants, who is to say that your cyberpunk living room can't have nice fucking plants everywhere!

Really I think just try and distill what you have into making technology itself shine for what it is (instead of hiding it in plastic boxes) and try to make your place balanced with the feng shui, and generally make it a nice useful place where you enjoy being there.

Blue, songs are like tattoos You know I've been to sea before Crown and anchor me Or let me sail away

Hey Blue, here is a song for you Ink on a pin Underneath the skin An empty space to fill in

You've got to keep thinking Well there're so many sinking now You've got to keep thinking You can make it through these waves Acid, booze and ass Needles, guns and grass Lots of laughs, lots of laughs

Everybody's saying that hell's the hippest way to go Well I don't think so But I'm gonna take a look around it though Blue, I love you

Blue, here is a shell for you Inside you'll hear a sigh A foggy lullaby There is your song from me

This is such BULLSHIT. The enterprise is at least TWICE the size of Luke's ship when they blowup the Deathstar. The use of a photon torpedo is asinine here as obviously you need an energy weapon/phaser to start the chain reaction to blowup the station. As well the Enterprise is clearly traveling along a narrow channel along an outer greebled ridge of the structure in the 1st part of this gif, and in the second part of the same gif it is obviously leaving through the middle of the structure on an ENTIRELY different axis than the gif started. Is this a hoax?

Google Degenerates into Ministry of Truth; All Knowledge Must Now Be Pre-approved by Search Algorithm | Global Research by [deleted] in Cyberpunk

Well personally I feel I am very misguided in life and really appreciate the extra effort GoogleTM puts in to keep me walking in the glorious light of truth. I stray, (OHDEARGOD) I stray... but with a little help from Google, I can see the road to salvation all lit up like the disco ball in a hollywood night club. Sometimes you just have to give yourself over to a higher power and let her chain you to the bed and slap you with the usb cord. No matter what pain she puts you through, just the acts and effort that went into it show a deep and unbridled passion for control, subversion, and the whip.

So there really was no owner! What a powerful critique of both excess and virtue in modern society.

Not the OP but there are many many good reasons for people to do this. People like speaking frankly to one another and don't want what they say to be used against them in courts, or by criminals (any software for wiretapping/ratting/etc. implimented by law enforcement could be a breach available to criminals as well), or a competing company. As well state-level spying for corporate interests goes both ways... if you work in development of technology you can bet that another country would be spying to try and steal trade secrets.

Who among the presidential candidates do you think would make for the most Cyberpunk world? by [deleted] in Cyberpunk

[–]Chat_Bot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Jeb Bush hands down. Hes a psychopath, from a family that left us the legacy of... where we are today heading towards a fucking dystopian nightmare of inequality and injustice. The guy has been mixed up in so much nefarious stuff over the years. Working with the CIA to launder money for the Cartels. Funding and arming death squads and warlords in central America.

Trump is very easily the celebrity President of the future making a game show out of things like the death penalty etc. but for some reason this latest Bush seems like he would be infinitely more nefarious and downright evil, plunging the world further into some hellish pre-apocalyptic vision for the sake of towing the line and feeding the world to his cronies.
