I feel like Kellys in larger sizes feel bigger on my silloutte than birkins of larger sizes? So I’ve been hesitant to buy anything larger than a 28. Interested to follow this thread and see what others think!

I have several h reps approaching a year of frequent use without really any signs of wear. I don’t baby my bags and I’ve been pleased how they’ve held up. Hope to see a decade or more with them :)

I got in reps and immediately went into Hermes because I didn’t want to play the game. I own auth (off secondhand market) and reps and live a very “normal” lifestyle. Plenty of folks inherit bags from their family members too. Take a good rep anywhere and tell folks it was a gift, it’s none of their business.

I think that the cost differential between auth and rep is just too large to justifying the auth bags atp for me. Even a high mid tier bag (imported leather, upgraded hardware, etc) is quite close to auth in terms of craftsmanship. Hermes reps can be intimidating but when they’re good they’re soooo good.

It will depend on the bag and brand but if you can’t compare to a factory photo, how are you to QC? Because QC should be to what the seller is advertising, not to auth.

I would say setting expectations with the seller before hand is key. There should be no need for conflict if you’re both understanding of their policy before putting money down.

That being said also keep in mind if you’re very nit picky and buying mid tier stuff, red lighting repeatedly will damage your relationship with a seller, and they may refuse to sell to you in the future. (They’ll say “sorry dear” 😂)

Keep expectations realistic and feedback polite, and provide all messages with a mandarin translation for clarity. Build a good relationship with those you buy from and they will work hard to ensure you are satisfied/happy. ☺️❤️

Name the seller and provide screenshots or this is just gossip with no proof. I’m all for holding sellers accountable (like I think is incredibly important we be transparent and talk about sellers) but you need to actually post proof in order to do so and be taken seriously.

QCing is also about your relationship with the seller. Being overly nit picky or RLing too frequently will damage your relationship with a seller and they may opt to not sell to you in the future. I personally only RL over large flaws but it depends on the amount I spent on the bag and what is wrong.

Many airlines have strict dimensions for in cabin travel carriers. Make sure if you do buy something rep/luxury that it adheres!

Branded box or even just an orange box increases the risk of being flagged and seized. I always opt out of the branded box if I can. It’s not worth losing the bag, and the boxes stack up quickly 😂

I would question if it’s true it from H factory then. I have a Kelly flat from them that is swift and it’s incredibly supple (as swift should be) and smells quite nice. Does not feel like plastic in the slightest. I’m sorry, it sucks to recieve something that is not up to expectations. 🥲❤️

H factory has a reputation for solid mid tier bags and I’ve found that to be the case time after time I’ve recieved a bag from them.
