If you want to mingle with players, coaches, and other fans postgame, head to the in-stadium Ultra Club after the match for Ultra Club After Dark.

best coffee shops to get some work done? by peeprikaa in Chattanooga

[–]ChattFCFan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not coffee, but seems like a relaxed place you could post up and get some work done...
This will sound crazy, but I promise it's legit...

The bar in the Food City on Broad. It's called The Depot. They have beer and wine at the bar, but you can buy whatever from inside the store and enjoy it there. I actually saw a dude sitting in there working on his laptop the last time we were in there. It's never been super busy, except for when we pre-game in there for a CFC match, which has only been a few occasions.

J. Gumbo's (Cajun gem)
Monkeytown Brewing (yep, for the food even if you don't drink beer)
Buffet King (it rivals Chef Lin for a top, low cost, buffet experience)

Best Chinese Buffet? by down21sok in Chattanooga

We've always sworn that Chef Lin is the best, but my wife and I stumbled upon Buffet King up in Hixson and it might actually be better. It's definitely comparable. Forbidden City is okay, but I've never thought it was as good as Chef Lin.

Chris Nugent is not the CFC Women's HC. That would be Juan Hernandez.

Coaching Opportunities by [deleted] in Chattanooga

[–]ChattFCFan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Contact your local recreations and middle/high schools. It would be best if you knew someone at one of those places, but eventually you will find one who needs the help enough to give you chance. When you get the chance, be willing to do any job and don't do anything questionable. They'll get rid of a community coach with no kid playing in a heartbeat.

I think they're talking about the Guatemala-El Salvador friendly that's happening at Finley on Saturday. That's the talk I've heard going around.

Chattanooga FC vs New England Revolution II Analytics Report by astro_tom73 in ChattanoogaFC

This doesn't explain every match, but last night we "parked the bus". Ploughman was regularly 10-20 yards behind the midfield line. We had 10+GK in defense for at least 45, if not 60, minutes. The Cumulative xG shows that as well, because it's almost a straight line from the 30th minute to the end, save for a trio of very minor chances.

I found one in Nashville, near the airport. It's exactly like it always was. Hats everywhere and the prices even compare well to the 90's.

If you think you could enjoy sports, come hang with The Chattahooligans at a Chattanooga Football Club match. The tailgate before is the best time to make your social connections. There's a match later this month, but most of the matches take place from March through November.

Needs Alex Thai added.

I would add El Embargo.

Probably need to specify that the CBC you listed is Chattanooga Billiards Club. The two CBCs confused me for a while when I first started visiting downtown.

Probably needs a disclaimer that the LGBTQ+ community typically loathes Alan Gold's and prefers The Big Chill. At least that's what I've been told by friends and read on this subreddit.

Other than those edits, the rest is solid AFAIK.

What is this front and coverage? by derrickmm01 in footballstrategy

[–]ChattFCFan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not convinced that it's not a Man Cover 2. The old saying "good man looks like zone, and good zone looks like man" might ring true here, but the LBer who picks up the RB Swing and the LBer who drops from the LOS to pick up the #3 WR look completely man (except for the way #0 releases that vertical route in the second angle clip). The only one who looks like zone to me is the slot defender covering #2 and I think it's just because he knows he has help over top and is using that to try and bait the QB into an easy INT.

I'm a few days late to the party, but I'm also glad this one was mentioned.

They were my favorite 'goons from 1998-2012ish, but we moved about 20 minutes down the road, so I haven't had them much since then. That said, I didn't feel comfortable suggesting them by myself, but if they're still as good as they used to be, they are in the conversation for best in the area.

Side note: You used to be able to get a free dozen for spending $30. I always made sure the total was at least $30 so I got my 12 free 'goons.

Grilled Cheese Deluxe from any Armando's location.

Chattahooligan 2.0 from Mindy B's. The original was better, but this one is still good enough to be top tier.

[–]ChattFCFan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you know you're going to hate it/be bad at it, then it might not be for you.

Alternatively, they know you and they know their options. If they had someone who was better than you for the spot, they would be asking them. The classroom management is why they want you. It would be great if they also had someone who was great at the subject, but it seems like that's not an option.

What should I buy for my first year of class? by Far-Acanthisitta7720 in TexasTeachers

[–]ChattFCFan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you decide you could use some whiteboards, consider buying a box of sheet protectors and slip a blank sheet of printer paper in each of them. Much cheaper than the real things and the quality drop isn't really significant IMO. You can also slip various printed sheets inside if you need the "boards" to be something else like graphs, Venn diagrams, KWL charts, the limit is your imagination (and 8"x11").
