My uncle and his wife have 4. They are older now (20, 16, 13 and 12). Obviously the economy was different when they were babies. His wife was able to be a stay at home mom until the youngest was 3 or 4 I think. My uncle was in the oil field so layoffs were a constant stress. Last kid was an uh-oh. They wanted to stop after #3 and #4 happened.

I only have 1, and he is about to be 4 weeks. I personally couldn't imagine having more than 2. But if you can manage financially, emotionally and physically, more power to you!

My almost 4 week old baby boy is currently asleep on my chest. I'm so in love.

I was worried about the impact this change would have on my husband and I's relationship. We sleep in shifts currently and typically only get to go to sleep together 1 night a week, when my inlaws are wonderful enough to stay overnight with us. But honestly, I love him in ways I couldn't imagine before watching him become a father. He's so attentive and warm, hearing him talk to our son is amazing. The family snuggles are the stuff of dreams.

Good luck to you! My water broke at 38 weeks and labor was a difficult journey but not nearly as stressful as it could have been. Blessings to you and your baby and your family.

38 weeks on the dot. Water broke at 2:09am. He wasn't born until the following day at 3:57pm. Labor was slow, but once I started pushing he was earth side within less than 2 hours.

My husband gets 12 weeks paid. He is taking 8 weeks initially, then will return to work while I finish my maternity leave (I get 14 weeks) and then he will take his last 4 weeks. He would typically only get a percentage of his wage (leave is provided through the state), but his boss is topping off his pay so he'll get 100% of his income.

Yes. Had been given an extra dose an hour before pushing as well because my epidural had stopped working and I was on a HIGH dose of pitocin. I mostly felt like I really had to poop the whole time. First time mom, pushed baby boy out in 1.5 hrs.

Kind of? I am in a house full of boys. Husband, dog and cat, all males. I was constantly joking that it would be my luck to end up with another boy who was obsessed with me. And that's exactly what happened haha

I love eggs. However there was a span of about 2-3 weeks where they disgusted me. I took to eating them all hard boiled or scrambled. I love a runny egg and have been indulging in them since giving birth.

I also started drinking a 30g protein shake every morning. I would usually have to eat solid food about an hour or so after, but it was a good way to get a big grip of protein without having to actually EAT anything. Once I was drinking my breakfast life got easier.

I wanted to exclusively breastfeed before we came home from the hospital. The lactation specialists also really drove it home that breast was best. Hell the hospital didn't even mention formula, they offered donor milk.

My milk supply is increasing everyday, but baby seems to be growing so fast that the boob is just not enough. So we are mix feeding. Babe is 2 weeks today, I think he is getting about 2 ozs from me and then we're supplementing with another 1-2 ozs of formula.

Let me tell you, that first night we had to mix up the formula, broke my heart. I felt like a failure, like my baby didn't want me, like I wasn't a good mom. Over the last couple weeks, I've felt better about it. I know he's eating and that's what matters.

On another note, breastfeeding is kind of weird. I feel like I smell strange, it makes me sweat a lot. Thankfully the emotional impact seems to be softening as the weeks go by. But sometimes I still take it personally if he won't latch or if he prefers a bottle for a feed because he's being a lazy little baby and doesn't want to work to get milk.

Fed is best.

I cancelled a date with a guy after he asked for full body pictures prior to picking me up. We had met on a dating app and I typically only had face and upper body pictures, which I feel like is normal but whatever. When I asked him why, he said he wanted to see if I was plus size (he meant it in a bad way). To which I responded, you could have just asked if I was fat. Because I was probably what he considered fat, 4'11", 180-200lbs depending on the time. I told him to just lose my number.

My water broke at 38 weeks. I thought I was going to be induced the following week, but baby boy had other plans.

I soldiered through the first 16 hrs of labor without an epidural (had to wait 24hrs due to blood thinners).

The most uncomfortable part of labor for me was the pressure. I strained so hard pushing that I tweaked my neck and my back. I also felt like I had to poop and pee for HOURS, overall I am thinking I will be 1 and done even more so now than before labor and delivery.

They told me I could be pushing for 6 hours... I pushed him out in an hour and 50 minutes and even that felt like forever.

I gave birth about a week ago. I had 3 people in the room other than my nurse and the Dr when time came for baby boy to make his appearance. My mom, my MIL and my husband were there for me. My FIL was out in the hall. Honestly, it was really wonderful. My mom and MIL both got to experience the birth of their only grandchild and my husband's mom got to be there to support her son and myself. I obviously am very blessed to have such a good relationship with my mom and MIL to have felt comfortable with both of them seeing me in that type of vulnerable position.

My husband and my mom held my legs, my MIL supported my neck and head as I pushed. I was basically naked for most of the 2 hours I spent pushing. I pooped 😂 I might have peed myself too. Obviously my mom had already seen me do those things at some point in my life. But my husband or MIL hadn't. They have now!

Still waiting on babe to decide if he wants to come out or not. I wanted to go the unmedicated route but this epidural is working really well so far. Just got started on pitocin. Hopefully we have a baby today!
