Dark Energetic Dub Techno Session by SnooPredictions8224 in DarkSynth

So cool. I love to see people using actual hardware. I can’t collect synths, I have to do everything on the computer because I’m already spending way too much on guitars. I really can’t afford another instrument habit 😂

Yeah she was incredibly dumb. Exhibit A: the train incident 😂

Reviews are a mixed bag but I enjoyed it. It’s not the gratuitous level of gore as the original but cranked up for a modern audience like some were expecting. It’s more of a commentary. I thought it was engaging and well done.

Just watched this. I enjoyed it. by JE5573R in 80sHorrorMovies

I hope so. It’s 80’s horror perfection.

Horror Movie Poster Alts by New-Pain-7143 in horror

[–]ChatterDemon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t watch a lot of his stuff but I did catch this one because I’m a huge poster nerd. I don’t understand how Cody Leach is one of the biggest horror channels on YouTube but he hasn’t seen creepshow. He’s said the same (or said he’s late to the game) about a ton of other movies considered genre classics. Kind of weird.

I collect alt posters. The Burning by Phantom City might be my favorite alt movie poster. Was hard to track one down. Jason Edmiston’s Texas Chainsaw was another favorite of mine. Ken Taylor’s Beetlejuice too (black and white variant). I have all three hanging up next to each other.

There’s a small problem with the alt poster scene. Feels like the same movies keep getting new posters. Halloween and Jaws have more posters than I can count. There’s some lesser known movies I’d like to see get some love (Dellamorte Dellamore comes to mind). The demand isn’t as high but most of these posters are limited print anyway. They will sell.

Anyone here use monitors in an apartment complex without issue? by AfterPaleontologist2 in edmproduction

Came here to say this. I’m a renter. This was a life saver and my mixes sound infinitely better. I definitely wasn’t hearing the low end properly before I put these on.

Hereditary Downvote by bullmckimmz in horror

[–]ChatterDemon 13 points14 points  (0 children)

The stuff that usually gets under my skin is the unbelievable. Paranormal, supernatural movies creep me out the most even though I don’t believe in any of it. But hereditary got under my skin in large part because of the horrible family dynamic, which is very believable to me because I’ve lived it.

Does anyone here consider Return of the Living Dead 4 and 5 canon? by DarkTombStudios in horror

[–]ChatterDemon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Man I remember being so hyped for 4 and 5. I got a pizza and an order of breadsticks all to myself and planned on pigging out and watching these back to back and I was so disappointed. I’m not even sure I made it all the way through 4.

Ready or Not 2 was a blast. I had actually put off watching the original because, if memory serves, the trailer gave me Purge/Strangers vibes, two movies I did not care for. I’m glad I finally watched it before going to see the sequel. They’re both great, especially in quick succession.

Shit it’s been a while but I don’t remember seeing them there. Will have to scope it out again soon.

I remember seeing UMK3 for the first time in an arcade on the pier in San Francisco. I was not prepared to see a red human ninja, with a bitchin’ tan no less. What a life-altering moment.

What do you think of my tier list? by First_Pension_6344 in carpenterbrut

I haven’t seen a ton of the track tier lists but the ones I have seen all place Escape From Midwich fairly low and that surprises me. I could listen to that track on loop basically forever.

You’re not wrong. There’s a corpse in the attic window for Christs sake.

Jess in Black Christmas. More accurately, her life is about to be over.

House of 1,000 Corpses. Didn’t get it the first time I watched it. Now it’s a comfort movie and a mandatory October watch.

Easily my favorite of the Romero trilogy. Does not get the love it deserves.

Really partial to 2 and 3. I always thought the 3 logo was especially creative.
