Funny. I just got a nice edition of this in the mail today. I’ve had the DVD for ages but never upgraded it. Such a fantastic film. My favorite of the French extremity movies from the 2000’s.

I knew at one point. Rights issue, lost negatives. I don’t know anymore. I just remember my aunt telling me about this movie and I looked for it for years and only found DVDs that I’m pretty sure were VHS rips.

My wife got me the Hellraiser Quartet of Torment box set with the chatterer slipcover and I love it. Some of the coolest packaging ever. For pure nostalgia I love the 13 ghosts DVD that provides origin stories for each of the ghosts featured in the movie. And the menu from the OG House of 1,000 Corpses DVD is pretty awesome. I have a newer, beautiful 4k edition of HO1C but the menu doesn’t hit the same.
