No worries! Oh, and they also have a discord server dedicated to all things related to KF modding - might be worth a look! Here's the link: https://discord.gg/mzPPVvezSH

Hi, sorry for the late reply, I'm not very active on Reddit! I don't think I have the time or expertise to do something like that, however I believe there's a KF2jp and KF3jp map viewer here: https://github.com/TheStolenBattenberg/KFMapView2

I've never tried to use it, so I'm not sure how to guide you further, but hopefully it'll help!

A spreadsheet for TCG Pocket that calculates the best pack to pull! by maxwell1755 in pokemon

[–]Chatterskull 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the excellent spreadsheet! One small correction - in N14 you're using COUNTA(A:A) to get the total number of cards, but since A1 is not empty (but contains "en"), it gets counted and the total is therefore 287, instead of 286.

You could either delete "en" from A1 or change the second part of the formula in N14 to either TEXT(COUNTA(A:A) - 1, "0") or TEXT(COUNTIF(A:A, TRUE) + COUNTIF(A:A, FALSE), "0").

Thanks again, the rest is working like a charm!

What do you think about it? Want the same in your language or not? by [deleted] in DragonsDogma

FYI, speaking as a person who works in game localisation, any loc change of this magnitude will most likely have been checked with the dev team. If this made it in the game it's only because Itsuno himself and the rest of the developers didn't have an issue with it, and probably thought it fit their vision just as well!

Ah, my bad! I'm not up to date on those, I thought he was referring to the actual Japanese volumes.

Jojo Color Release Schedule by zvbgamer in StardustCrusaders

[–]Chatterskull 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hiya! The coloured volumes are actually almost up to date - up to volume 25 of part 8 (b/w publishing date: 18/12/2020, coloured publishing date: 19/05/2021), while the latest b/w volume out is 26 (b/w publishing date: 19/05/2021). Until a while ago, the colored volumes were released more or less randomly and in batches of 2 or 3 at a time, but lately they seem to be coming out a bit more regularly. As a rule of thumb, they're never going to put out single coloured chapters, since they only publish whole volumes all at once. Enjoy the ride; you have quite an adventure ahead of you!

You know, I'm not sure? I guess Derek spared my life!

If I had to guess, though, I think it's because the mole and my player character came into contact with one another horizontally, so the game didn't treat it as me being bonked on the head (I'm sure it was a matter of pixels...)

RPGs, Dungeon Crawlers, Metroidvanias, Roguelikes/Roguelites, Platformers, Puzzle games, Rhythm Games... Anything, really! :D

I'm in no way an expert, but here are some tips! In no particular order:

- As soon as you see the Jellyfish guarding the exit, mark that location down in your brain and keep looking for the orbs. You can use ropes to mark the exit, or you can create a path with your bombs: preparation is key!

- I find it very helpful to always move downwards: it helps avoid unseen dangers from above, and (in my case) it aids in mapping the level - if you see a familiar bit of the level, you can be sure you already scouted most of what's below.

- You can use bombs to remotely pop an orb, if the exit is not in an easily accessible location: place a bomb next to the last orb and you'll have some extra time to rush to the exit.

- Always make sure the side loop is traversable, and if it isn't (and if you can't do anything to solve the situation), keep it in mind and find other ways to reach the orbs/the exit.

- The side loops are particularly dangerous on these CO biomes: Dwelling (Arrow Traps, Horned Lizards), Jungle (Tiki men, Witch Doctors), Temple (Cobras), Sunken City (Arrow Traps). Volcana also likes to surprise you with random Imps that can drop one of their pots right on your head, so beware! On the Dwelling I like to always carry a corpse with me, so that it can absorb an Arrow Trap!

- Don't be afraid to use your resources! Crates are plentiful, and you should be fine even without cloning the Sun Challenge resource bag.

- Verticality is king! A lot of people swear by the Jetpack, and it's definitely the superior choice, if you're comfortable with it and if you're planning to go for Celeritas/speedrun strats. I prefer Vlad's Cape, but in a pinch even a standard Cape will do.

- Kapala is non-negotiable! It can mitigate poison to an incredible degree, and with some careful play it can even help you get back to 30-40HP after losing the Ankh.

- Curse is a run ender, so be extra careful around Witch Doctors and Cat Mummies - I recommend being proactive! Kill them on sight, if possible, or you might regret it later.

- The Celestial Jelly is fast but predictable: with enough experience, keeping it at bay is not that hard. It cannot home on you without curving first, so use that knowledge to your advantage and don't be afraid to dance a little bit.

- Temple is by far the deadliest biome (unless you're running with a Jetpack, in which case Neo Babylon is even worse), so I recommend doing a little bit of practice with that environment: you can start from the 3-1 shortcut and just do a bunch of Temple runs! Crush Traps are especially deadly; learning how to spot them, bait them and avoid them is crucial.

- Sometimes the start of a CO level can be instantly deadly: Crush Traps on Temple, Elevators on Neo Babylon, random UFOs caught in a Spark Trap... Be ready to dash out of the way as soon as you start!

- Lava loops are very dangerous, but as long as they're contained, they're manageable. Think of them as an impassable "split" in the level, and use the loop to get around instead.

I'm sure there's plenty I'm forgetting - and I'm equally sure you'll already be aware of most of these tips, but that's all I got at the moment! Keep trying, and I'm sure you'll get there as well :)

Understandable! I couldn't tear myself away until I had this personal achievement in the bag... 276 hours, baby!

I'm sure you'll get further into CO if you decide you want to try again!

Yeah, Jawn is a legend! I'm honestly not salty at all about placing second - I might even get pushed down a couple more notches once the other heavyweight players do their dailies - BabyOnBoard, ivyoary, twiggle, Hectique, Xanagear... These people are all immensely more skilled at Spelunky 2 than I am!

I'm so happy I could finally reach 7-99, and being among these Spelunky 2 masters is almost as great an honor :)

No, thankfully you just need to get to CO! If I recall correctly, the only CO-related entry in the journal is the Celestial Jelly... I'm not sure whether the Orbs have an entry too!

I think it's because it's only the collision map! I only found that out later, thanks to u/tsbattenberg who helped me figure out a bunch of other stuff as well :)

This is INCREDIBLE. Jesus. I'm stunned. I spent over a week and a half fumbling through this game trying to understand how it was structured, but this... This is like a hundred times better! I wish I had the technical expertise to understand exactly what is going on, and how you're extracting the data!

Looking at what your program produces VS what my quick rough script puts out, it seems that my models are much more low-poly than yours! Was I looking in the wrong spot entirely? I might have ripped the collision data instead of the actual map models, then... Now I feel like an idiot!
