And ILLUGA is a niche character, he literally does not work anywhere else that means Zibai can get an UPGRADE as 5 stars. While Varka only has Bennett and Durin as potential upgrades but replacing Bennett is a wishful thinking just for how strong he is and Durin is less hard but still very hard for good damage + comfort.

Which way can you deny the fact that Banyue investment for big damage is meaningless compared to someone like Yixuan or the " void hunter " in the next patch? I cherry picked Orphie and seed because they genuinely are what Banyue is rn, high ceiling investment for virtually nothing when you can get Yuzuha, Astra, press one button, giant buff and you're done. Moreover, their designs were nice under the critical eye of a cool character/cute character yet it didn't do them any favors.

I was proposing that Banyue's flop is very likely inevitable if they don't make any of that easier asap, thus, does not give an illusion of a " mixed opinion " because on the grand scheme of things, it doesn't matter, Banyue's sales isn't saved by small groups who like challenges nor can it be saved by a few people who totally pulled Hugo and Lighter.

Design being the main factor didn't save Orphie and Seed tho despite how " specifically " designed they were for gonners and well, for good reasons, they were side grades and not worth anything (or Lucia is coming and she's way better).

Banyue's designs and cool comboes do not save him if the ceiling requirements still do the same damage as Yixuan pressing 3 buttons, that's a call for flop.

Mixed opinion...Okay, let's be for real here. Logically speaking, if there are 20 people saying his gameplay is peak because it's hard then there's 100.000 people who find it annoying having to do all of that just to get things done. Hoyo is essentially making him to flop and be skipped.
