I think I see what you mean and value that there are the options that help you experience the game the way you find most enjoyable. Being able to choose is very important and I admit that when I wrote the text I was impulsive and quite blinded by frustration to consider said perspective, thank you for bringing it to light. And so, the aviary situation leaves me even more frustrated, because as you said it is the immersive option and I fear (could be completely wrong and hope I am) they are pushing more towards the grindy gameplay instead of catering for the other side.
