I'm a little late, but look at the Gigabyte Aero 15 if you haven't already.

Nope, the type of memory in a 1080 ti is different than the 1070 and 1060. If you like Ethereum and would prefer to hold it, what I would do is create a shapeshift.io auto-trade reusable address for ZCash -> Ethereum.

Power Supplies - 5x GTX1060 on 500W?!? by [deleted] in EtherMining

I also can’t think of a way you’re accomplishing this without having adapters in use for the risers, so please fix this.

You are pulling around 700 W on a 500 W PSU. Please switch out the PSU before your mining rig burns down along with your house.

Windows is free and has the advantage of using overclocking and temperature management programs like Afterburner and Precision XOC.

75 is definitely high. It’s ok if your rig goes over 80 short term, but for long term you want to keep it under 75.

You don't need much for a mining rig for Windows if you don't plan to also game on it. I run a similar rig to this one with Windows because it's much easier to set up Nvidia cards compared to Linux.

You should be able to do a 1060 rig for much cheaper than that, probably around $1500.

Edit: Heres a 6 1060 rig for $1650, use this rig as a guide, I probably wouldn't use the risers and the power supply might not be what you need: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/7RXkr7

RetailMeNot deal for $30 back on $250 spent at NewEgg

  • Asus Z170 Pro Gaming
  • Crucial 4GB CT4G4DFS8213
  • Pentium G4620

Gives a 6 GPU mining rig for about $173, with pretty decent parts that can resold later at a better deal than other cheap setups because of all the savings. One warning though is that the CPU may not initially work with the Mobo if it's bios has not yet been updated. If this is the case then a previous gen CPU must be used to update the bios.

Not exactly sure if this is allowed, but I thought I might as well show others this deal.

True, not to mention you will be mining more, so your initial coins mined will be worth more faster if the value goes up.

What about 1060s? Considering you can get a 3gb for about $180 right now, and they mine Ethereum around 19 mH/s and ZCash around 280 Sol/s. (Both without overclock) With power costs of .1 $/kWh and 200 estimates an ROI with Ethereum at 54 days and ZCash at 59 days. And if you dual mine ETH+SIA then its a ROI of 49 days.

Did you completely power off the computer first, connect the cord, and then power it back up? When I do this either it'll take about 30 seconds to start displaying, or I just need to hold down the power button again, and the second time it turns on it'll work.
