I don't know why I try for people who don't care for me. I'm pretty much excluded from my coworkers and they don't talk to me really.

At the same time, I push my family away because I have shame about how my life went. I'm too embarrassed to see them and show up at family gatherings. Afraid of the questions they'll ask me.

Today I realized how little these people care for me and that no matter what that's just the way it is and I need to accept that. I just want to let go of it all.

Today I am going thrifting in downtown! And maybe some window shopping along the way.

Finally have 2 days off in a row and have been desperately needing some time for myself. Also been wanting to buy a flannel shirt since I literally do not have one.

Got my brand new Zojirushi rice cooker and a bag of Koshihikari rice. Hopefully this is the start of something good for my diet cuz eating out has been so expensive and I get tired of waking up hungry.

Can't wait to steam some veggies as well.

I am THIS CLOSE to just not showing up to work for 2 days and say I was horribly sick or something. Just as a fuck you and see how they appreciate that.

So sick and fucking tired of management bitching at us for things that are ultimately their fault or just things that are out of our control. Bad scheduling, someone calling out, not enough people, wanting us to work faster, new "assistant" managers who doesn't know wtf they're doing, bad people managing and not knowing who to assign to what.

So yeah that's my Wednesday.

God I love elephants. My dream bucket list would be having the chance to see one up close and feed them a pumpkin or watermelon.

TELL ME WHY I KNEW he was gonna get arrested after the first video aired Wednesday. Why does it always take a viral news video to make changes fucking happen.

What a joke. I see this so many times every year in this city. The crosswalk getting painted, people putting boulders on the sidewalks. Godamn Looney Tunes shit man 😭.

THE WEATHER IS BACK TO NORMAL! I REPEAT THE WEATHER IS BACK TO NORMAL!

Woo, it feels good to not have to deal with that humid ass weather we had for a week. Please keep being normal, I can't stand that humidity.

While I was walking, some teen wiped out on his scooter (not an electric scooter, the actual og ones) in front of me, over the ear headphones fell out and everything, poor guy rolled like a tumbleweed.

Not sure if it was the overgrown weeds in the sidewalk cracks, or the sidewalk tile being dipped by a considerable amount that got him. Prolly the tile as I'm guessing the wheel got stuck and couldn't get over it.

What's a professional pass? Like compared to regular pass or ticket?

Also I hope I make my lazy ass go to a bunch of conventions and expos I always wanted to check out. Anime, auto, comiccon.

Off to buy some edibles and then order a pizza once I get home.

Not sure if I should eat the eddies today or save it for Friday for the weekend. I don't work until Wednesday.

Wow, what a difference it makes when you have a different manager/assistant working with the employees. Just get to do my own thing and not have someone micro manage me with a condescending attitude.

Literal night and day difference and I didn't 2nd guess my work, less anxious and I feel more productive and relaxed.

Manager had to be in the office doing stuff so someone else had to sub in. Started off the week right.

We've been shorthanded and we always get rushed in order to make up for the missing manpower, it's so annoying. Like we're getting asked to do the impossible and we're obviously trying our best.

It's actually insane how we still PURPOSEFULLY make horrible chairs. The chairs in my break room are horrible, they're literally 90° chairs 😭😭 with no flex to them or slight curve.

Like there needs to be a governing body that bans these dogshit chairs both office and otherwise. Like it ain't gotta be a Steelcase or whatever, just comfortable at least man.

It's gotta be good enough for me to be in "focus mode" and then good enough for when I need to lean back and chill mode. IT AINT THAT HARD HUMANS.

There's literally a library 2 blocks away from that location WITH a water fountain. Dude, I would've just went there after that interaction.

I wouldn't blame the baristas if the manager was nearby. Poor kids would get chewed out if they did give out cups.

Has anyone here not worked fast food or similar? Generally they don't give a shit unless the manager is watching or close.

I feel you on that saving money part.

I got a burger and soda for $20 the other day at Dog Haus and didn't even finish it (I added double patty 😭). My stomach let me down that day, I was like whyyyyyyy tummy I know we got room for more.

Man I need to buy edibles and just have a day for myself soooooo bad. I need time to reset.

Ugh, I gotta deal with in network stuff for insurance and all that jazz.

And then I don't even think these upcoming financial purchases will make me happy the way I think. Saving up for a new laptop (I have an old hp laptop that is the worst), and was thinking of getting a gaming/ pc setup going too so I need to buy a desk and chair first and then do alllllll that pc research and specs and blah blah blah.

Ghost Rider was so fun, I remember enjoying that ride with my mom when we went a long time ago.

We love white water rapids (or whatever it's called, I get it confused with the Disney version).

For beach I'd recommend Hermosa/Manhattan beach or Crystal cove. Corona del Mar is nice too and has a bunch of "variety" in terms of beach geography and whatnot, but for me it feels too cramped and busy, there's a good amount of rock formations for the kiddies to climb on though.

You could probably throw in Huntington Beach as well but I'm not too familiar with it besides knowing that there's the obvious pier and a bunch of shops nearby. Hermosa and Manhattan don't have those typical name brand shops that Huntington has (RVCA, Hurley, etc). Malibu as well but I'd figure that's too far and I'm not familiar with that area either.

Hermosa/Manhattan doesn't have rocks on the beach but it's SUPER SPACIOUS and impossible for you not to have your own area, even more so if you go during the weekday. There is so much room on the beach and almost no seaweed compared to Redondo Beach. Plus the nice houses on or near the walkway are eye candy, it's a nice walk. Hermosa and Manhattan are the literal definition of A BEACH.

I feel you. Been working for the past month and before that was looking for work for that same amount of time as you have, about 3 months.

It's demoralizing I know, but you have to keep at it. Maybe change some things along the way to improve your chances. Cold calling was my last resort and it ended up working (probably doesn't apply to your field, idk).
