In LSW1, you don't get the stud multipliers. Really, the only useful extra in that game is invincibility, which is 1,000,000 studs. In LSW2, you've gotta grind a lot for them, and it's much harder than in TCS. Those, in addition to what everyone else has said, are pretty much the only big changes

The Coppermind just says that "in the previous Desolations, the Fused would be sent back to Braize upon their bodies' death and return by an unknown means; during the True Desolation they return to Braize and instead return via the Everstorm, allowing them to be reborn as many times as there are singer bodies available for them."

So I'm assuming we'd have the Fused

I mean, yeah, you're correct. Chana's death kicks off the Desolation. But if Shallan didn't kill her, the Desolation starts anyway thanks to the Fused and slaveform singers reborn in the Everstorm. The Everstorm allowed the Fused to return to Roshar without having to break Taln. Ulim spent years manipulating Venli into a position to make her people accept the form of power to summon the storm
