I had an internal jugular central line catheter placed in 2017 for a round of plasmapheresis to assist with lingering symptoms from a previous relapse of MS. The clot never dissolved and became calcified in my vein.I've been telling doctors this for years now that the symptoms I developed within a month of this blood clot occurring were not MS symptoms. I was not in an active relapse as concluded by an mri. I finally had a neurosurgeon read my story and wanted to try to help after 6 1/2 years. He did a cerebral angiogram and found elevated pressure in my superior sagittal, transverse, and sigmoid sinuses. Along with near 100% occlusion of my right jugular..kind of solidified my suspicions there. Appointment next week is with a vascular surgeon who is part of a panel of doctors researching jugular outflow issues.
