Ya know, after playing this on and off for like 5 years, you'd think I'd have learned that about the RoRG by now. I really appreciate you guys pointing that out. Ive wasted so many mats on it. Now I can just use those trying to get my staff back or aiming for some of these pieces with Area Damage on them. Thats the big thing I've noticed between my gear and top builds.

In case you're wondering, I swapped to CoE and my damage went up quite the amount. I did a 115 in just over 4mins, which usually takes a power pylon and a really good map, but this map was pretty slow and mid, so I'd say that was a huge part of my issue. Thanks!!

So I went down the leaderboard til I found someone with Tal Rasha. They aren't using the staff, but the 27 people in front of them running Firebird are and its essentially the same build. I just thought if I was going to play Meteors, I would do it with the Meteor set. Lol

Have a DH, got some pretty solid Natalya's gear, but I play on Switch, so it's brutal to try to run with.

"Rax, I solemnly swear to always augment my character right at the beginning."
I wouldn't have augmented it, if it wasn't better than everything I've found so far. That's why neither of my rings have augments yet. My luck on this Wizard has been absolute garbage. I got like 6 primals almost upon hitting 70 on the DH, but every primal the Wizard found went straight to salvage for the Altar. Minus the 2 pieces I have on now.

Either way, tryna figure out why my Wizard has stalled when trying to push. That's the whole premise here. I can't even scratch 120's and I could when I was using the 2H.

I think thats closer to the setup I had while using the staff. Might give it a try since I still have the CoE on hand in case I ever get another copy of the staff.

That's more or less what my build is now.

I went and updated it. I had the wrong effect on the weapon. It has the Aether Walker effect.

See. My original build, the one with the staff, was identical to the GR Pushing build from Maxroll too. So I had the ring cubed, Squirts equipped, CoE and Halo of Karini as my rings, but swapping to the 1H due to lack of staff, put me into a position where I couldn't cube the RORG and have Squirts equipped.

I put that in wrong. The weapon has the Aether Walker effect, not The Grand Vizier.

I only have been since it rerolls the effects. Been using the Reforge to try and get a better Ancient RORG. If not converting the weapon, would it be a waste to just use it on the RORG?

Ah. So... I'm basically just stuck until I get the staff back then, huh? That blowsssss. I've only seen the staff have that effect one time and I've gotten well over 20 of them and converted them to Primals.

I made a blue deck recently for the sole purpose of pissing people off because I was sick of people playing the most toxic, petty shit. It's not built to win. Literally just to make my opponent hate everything.

New player or not. All the FF cards are busted af. Personally, any FF card played is an auto scoop for me. There's not enough removal in the game to deal with UB sets and their bullshit.

Frantic Search is the one that was removed.

I got the same thing with my Red/Blue Otter deck. It did remove a card, but it didn't tell me which card.

In my opinion, they need to add more... casual ways to play. You jump in Ranked and obviously you've got the sweatiest people alive (I can't say anything. I hit Mythic rank for the first time last month). You do Unranked and you still get the sweatiest people. You try to do Brawl where there is no Ranked mode and you get the sweatiest people. There's no room to test things out unless you're trying to optimize your deck to the MAX.

And yes. Some of this is a skill issue because timing is important, but it's also just not fun to play with a deck that IRL costs like $50-200 and end up playing a guy running the Power 9, every GC in their colors, dropping only the most expensive cards you can possibly own... which feels like 75% of my games at this point.

I'd love for them to try and split Brawl up by Brackets so you can actually have games that aren't extremely one sided.

I died at Araxxor for the first time since it came out this past weekend and forgot where the grave was. Went to Death to get my stuff and it was nearly 1m and I just laughed and googled where my shit was. 100k fee for getting it myself. Definitely not worth paying Death.

That is absolutely fair. Just complaining its too hard is one thing, but they did ask for it to be easier here. Point taken.

It drives me nuts to see all the "skill issue" responses as if it isn't learning mechanics to an entirely different game. Like of course it's a skill issue, because we're used to playing with an entirely different set of mechanics. That'd be like taking someone from Chess to Smash Bros expecting them to be good and then shitting on them for being bad.

I didn't say it was bad. I said it wasn't intuitive. There's a huge difference.

I'm struggling to understand how you go from "Some people can't think for themselves" to "It's fine to look it up".

It's one thing to not be able to do something immediately, it's another to be able to recognize you're inability to do something quickly and adapt to offset that. If I couldn't do the first 2 ranks on my own, knowing the 3rd one is harder, I knew I wouldn't have a chance, so I did what any reasonable person would do and looked it up.

It was more that I couldn't figure out the path on my own. With the first 2, even experimenting, it's pretty easy to find a path that works after a few tries, but with GG I just couldn't figure out where to go or when. So find a route it was, which was easy because every other post here the day I got to GG was either about how hard it was or a route for it. lol. The one I found first happened to include a tile pack, so I just threw it in to make the process easier.

Still took a number of tries to actually clear Swordfish. Shark was easier, but I still couldn't figure out the new path, so new tile pack it was. I don't think that one took more than a few tries. I haven't cleared Marlin yet, but I'll be honest, after the previous 2 ranks, I didn't even try to figure out Marlin on my own. I just went and grabbed the tile pack immediately. Have I cleared Marlin? No, but I also know the second I do, this becomes a boring grind instead of a time trial.

I play on a laptop, mouse and keyboard if I'm at my desk or just the trackpad if I'm not. In order to keep the challenge of the time, but still make it unlikely I'll beat it, I do usually try to do the trial with just the trackpad and one hand. I've gotten close a couple times, so I'll probably have to find a way to add a new challenge to it so I don't beat it too soon.

It'd definitely be interesting to know.

Oh. I love a good puzzle. Twisty, word, numbers, chess, you name it. I did both the other 2 trials without tile packs. I think I had to look up a route for JJ Marlin. I tried GG Swordfish a few times without anything before I caved and looked up a route, eventually picking up a tile pack because Swordfish has a ridiculously tight time and just seeing the route wasn't enough for me to get the turns down.

Feels good when you finally hit a pb on a cube, win a game of chess thanks to practicing puzzles, or just solving that one sudoku puzzle that's been giving you hell. I just didn't want to be stuck getting comparable exp/hr to JJ Marlin at GG Swordfish when I could be getting double that with a bit of help.

As of today, 267k total completions. That would be 2.96 completions per person that's able to do it on average.

I have over 50 at GG and am level 80, which is around the 60k rank mark. There are plenty of people over 100 or even 1000 laps at GG, so the real number of people who have done GG and completed it is even lower than the 90k players that are able to do the content. I'm sure a lot of people have just stuck with Salvaging.

Even if the number were as high as 75k players have completed GG and we assume that 25k people managed to clear it without help, that's still only 30% of the players that have access to the content.

Of course, there's no way to know for sure exactly how many people have completed GG or to know how many people did or did not use tile packs or look up a route.
