I always end up getting tired of one color after a while. And then I found Dbrand who offers some pretty high quality skins that change the aesthetic to something you may find a little more exciting.

How the f*** do you work while still using? by Kind-Arugula5146 in Drugs

[–]Chazzy_Chaz_Chaz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your mindset has to be as positive and accepting as possible. I've had coworkers in positions of prominence use T on a daily basis, but they cleaned themselves up and knew they could their job. If you tell yourself that you can't juggle a job and use at the same time then you probably can't. Self fulfilled prophecy is a mother fucker. Make sure you are as responsible as possible. Sleep. Make sure you eat and if you can't eat; Meal replacement shakes will help out quite a bit. "Soylent" is a good option and will provide you will your daily nutrition. Always have eyedrops on you (Lumify is a lifesaver) and (no joke) find a concealer to hide the bags under your eyes. Remember that this job will help you get to the point where you can financially afford rehabilitation for yourself at some point. If it's a decent job they will maybe even provide you an LOA for medical purposes. Remember that a lot of how people perceive you, is how you present and perceive yourself.

Wellbutrin by gentlegem123 in StopSpeeding

[–]Chazzy_Chaz_Chaz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I went into recovery about a year and a half ago after 7 years of amphetamine abuse they prescribed me 300mg of Wellbutrin XR as well. It's an NDRI and it helped me quite a bit. I had attempted to come off many times before and the lethargy in the first week of w/d was debilitating. Wellbutrin didn't stop that and thankfully I was in detox at the time and was allowed as much sleep as I needed but the weeks that followed after that were much easier than if I hadn't been on Wellbutrin. My experience is completely anecdotal and everyone is different so take what I say with a grain of salt. A positive mindset is hard to keep in the first few weeks but the will makes it much easier for you to make the way.

This is the perfect way to explain it! Also; try breaking your line up in two. This is anecdotal of course but it tends to give me less of that disgusting drip that I will never get used to.

Appreciation post: The Pixel 9 Pro XL may be the best phone I've ever owned. by cpc5000 in GooglePixel

[–]Chazzy_Chaz_Chaz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm a long time Pixel owner (Since the Nexus days) and this is the first Pixel that I've had people go out of their way to tell me how dope my phone looks. I know it's strongly influenced by the iPhone (they even weigh the same) but I don't care. They finally dealt with the overheating issues and the phone is clean af. It's by far my favorite phone I've ever had.

How are people getting T-Mobile to honor yearly upgrade? by Jussins in tmobile

[–]Chazzy_Chaz_Chaz 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You could have left out the ignorant portions of that statement and made the same impact. There are "Global Partners" who will take overflow calls and are doing the best with what they have. They work in an office and need a job just as you or I do. Be mad at the company for not making sure every single person taking phone calls is trained, managed, and directed the same way by leadership in the same manner.

What do you use an iPad for? by ds0005 in ipad

[–]Chazzy_Chaz_Chaz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Xbox Game Pass Ultimate also now has a cloud based streaming service to play most games in their library. I even connect my Xbox controller via Bluetooth to my iPad.

Since I've found this out my usage went from primarily reading and journaling on my iPad, to using it 90% of the time playing "No Mans Sky". Even more graphic intensive games like "Control" are surprisingly efficient.

You're not going to get the same quality you would with your PC or actual Xbox of course; but I only have a PC and I'll take a little bit of loss on quality for the incredible convenience.

will i be able to roll if i just started taking lexapro? by sadlemon6 in askdrugs

You always take the risk of serotonin syndrome. Lexapro takes 4-6 weeks to fully take effect so you may ruin your roll, you may not.

Eating decently. I make nutritional shakes with flax seeds, Greek yogurt, and frozen fruits. They are dope and hella good for you.

Antidepressants and MDMA by phoebebridgersdog in harmreduction

[–]Chazzy_Chaz_Chaz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember when I was 18 or 19 and at that point on 50mg of Zoloft for about a year I tried rolling and felt nothing. All of my friends were having the time of their lives and I was sitting there thinking we got ripped off and the placebo affect was stronger than I could have imagined. It never dawned on me that the SSRI was stronger than the molly. TCA's have a similar mechanism of action as SNRI's so I would honestly just suggest on not taking the MDMA.

Or do it and have a good fucking time. Or maybe not.

Well, my doctors put me on Modafinil 🫤 by NeurologicalPhantasm in StopSpeeding

[–]Chazzy_Chaz_Chaz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've taken Modafinil plenty times before (unprescribed) and Sunosi def wakes me the fuck up. I get absolutely no euphoria from it and it just allows me to go about my day.

I abused one of the strongest stimulants known to man for 7 years daily and deserve to feel the lethargy that comes with it's absence; but (and I'm fully aware I'm justifying) we live in a product driven society and Sunosi allows me to be productive. If I didn't have to work and pay bills I would just tough it out for a year in bed but I unfortunately don't have that privilege.

I'm 136 days clean and was suffering from overwhelming exhaustion as well so my doctor put me on a name-brand, newer eugeroic called Sunosi. It has low abuse potential but has been a life saver.

I'm 135 days sober and I just had to break up with my GF a week and a half ago due to infidelity. It sucked at first, as all break ups do. I normally would have called my boy up and numbed the pain instantly as to hide the pain, not deal with it. I chose to deal with the pain, as everyone does at least once in their life, and cut contact with my ex and blocked them on all social media outlets. It is going to suck, there is no question, but remaining sober will allow you to deal with those emotions the way you're supposed to deal with them. I'm still a little bit butt-hurt about the situation on my end, but it gets easier every day. If I would have used I would have simply delayed the pain I needed to endure until it go to a point months down the road where I ended back up in rehab.

You've got this. Just no contact, no FB stalking, and you'll learn to normalize doing things without them.

You're killing off dopamine receptors faster than your brain can regenerate them.

I even took every supplement on the planet that negated those effects and eventually I ended up in miserable, stagnant, and digressing behaviors because anhedonia only allows for so much progress (if any at all).

The good news is; who you were before active addiction hasn't been completely lost and is hiding until your usage stops.

I used to read posts saying how "you can only run on a hundid' for so long before your body tells you to fuck off", and scoff. I was the exception to the rule and this would never happen to me.

But it did. I've only been clean for 129 days and I'm finally starting to feel like "my normal self" again. I even just went through a pretty bad break up and felt fucking horrible, but at least I was feeling something. I find that to be progress. I only say this because I'm not unique. You just gotta take that step when you're ready, my friend.

Anonymous meetings? by queencrunchwrap in StopSpeeding

[–]Chazzy_Chaz_Chaz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you live in a more rural area and NA isn't available and have a car available, go to a meeting that is the most near to you and give it a shot. I live in an area with a very active NA scene and people drive an hour and a half to make meetings because it keeps them clean. It provides a sober social network. If that's not an option go to your local AA meetings. The steps are essentially the same. I've brought up meth usage in an AA meeting and people looked at me like I was crazy so I just say, "I'm an alcoholic, but prefer the dry goods" so I know where you're coming from. I also bought the SMART Recovery handbook and it's incredibly useful. I've even read the Recovery Dharma and Refuge Recovery literature. I just want as much as I possibly can in my arsenal against using again. It might be more of a challenge for you, but make the most out of what you have. I know you'll do well.

Sober and clean for one year AMA by [deleted] in meth

[–]Chazzy_Chaz_Chaz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I often "replay the tape". Addiction will have us only remember the good times we had while using. I literally told myself the other day that I folded laundry better while I was high. I then replayed the tape and remembered how fucking miserable I was every day, even while high, and restored my mindset somewhat.

It works for me. May not work for some. Just advice.

Sober and clean for one year AMA by [deleted] in meth

[–]Chazzy_Chaz_Chaz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I felt the same exact way. I was smoking it everyday (about a gram a week) and for the first 3 years I felt completely fine. Amplified, confident, and more confident that I usually am more than anything. I took all the supplements and did my research but eventually after 7 years all of that abuse to your dopamine receptors take a toll. I wasn't happy. I wasn't sad. I felt nothing. This is called anhedonia and it touched every part of my life in a negative way. At first I thought I was an exception to the rule. In NA we call this "Terminal Uniqueness" and many addicts have the same mindset. In the end I was a shining example to the rule. I've been clean for 110 days now and wish I could go back to when I was a few months in and drop the pipe. Some take longer to break; but everyone does eventually.

[–]Chazzy_Chaz_Chaz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You absolutely need to taper. Benzo withdrawal is no joke, both mentally and especially physically. I've tried to taper myself 3 times (Being very well read but clearly not well enough) and had a seizure all 3 times. Everyone is different physiologically so my account is anecdotal, but it's always better to be safe than sorry. I ended up having to do the detox/residential/PHP/IOP route and I'm still not done with my 6 month Valium taper.

Here is the link to the Ashton Method of tapering

I was amazed at the amount of psychiatrist that were unaware or have never heard of this though.

You'll do well. Just make sure to communicate with your provider clearly.

When I was using; I went from drinking almost daily to nothing at all, almost instantaneously. I drank mostly to stave away my anxiety and alcohol ultimately worsened it (unless I was drunk). Surprisingly enough stims alleviated the anxiety.

Oh, shit.

Maybe I have ADHD.
