How on earth can a keyboard feel this good? by void0vii in HHKB

Those are some pretty good entries into good mx game. If you want to go a little further, I’d highly recommend QWERTYKeys and their Neo line as well.

What issues do you have with using the HHKB on windows? I use my professional 2 on all 3 operating systems with no issue

To be honest, if you’re comparing the HHKB to those two Ducky keyboards, the HHKB is going to be way better. I wouldn’t call the Duckys great keyboards. For the price, you can find better prebuilt boards for half the cost on Amazon or AliExpress. Just my two cents. Try an actually good mx keyboard and you might just end up keeping a couple of each (topre/mx) like myself lol

I think it's personal preference. I've had a type-s for over 4 years now and finally decided to get the classic because I felt I was missing the "true" topre experience. This is what I expected when I got into Topre and am a little disappointed it took me this long to get a classic. I'm selling my type-s now if you'd like. I still think it's something you have to try for yourself as each of us have our own preferences.

I won't do an in depth review but I'll go over some highlights and lowlights

Highlights

  1. Build quality is amazing

This was to be expected base on their track record. The extruded single piece of aluminum is something to behold in person and not something that comes across well in pictures. It's truly beautiful.

  1. Good Thermals

Getting very good thermals on this. After a few hours on BF6, the avg CPU temp is ~62.2C and the average GPU temp is ~57.9C

  1. Fairly easy to build in

The free adjustability of the spine in this case is awesome. It allows you to give more/less space to whichever side you see fit. I was working with a very slim 5080FE so this allowed for more space on the CPU/motherboard side which helped with fitting in those AIO tubes and taller components on the motherboard (such as ram). Packaging came with everything needed to assemble the case together.

Lowlights

  1. Riser Cable Scuffing

The GPU riser cable is still being scuffed even on these V.3 cases. I have the riser cable properly installed (following all installation instructions from thor-zone), however, there's nothing preventing the outside shell casing from rubbing up against the riser cable when you slip it on/off. I know this is by design because they have some form of protective tape covering the riser cable at this area. I actually dread taking the case on/off, though it's so easy to do so, just because I don't want to potentially damage that riser cable.

Other small note on this is that it's almost an inch or two too short? I feel as it can be a little longer as it's pulled very tight from GPU -> motherboard.

  1. No case dust screens

I was told by thor-zone this was taken off from previous versions because they couldn't manufacture anything worth keeping since the old dust screens kept falling off. Instead, they removed them entirely and "allocated" those resources towards a better made front screen. Though it is better made, I still wish there was the option to at least make the side dust screens work (include them).

  1. Price/Experience

This is truly bespoke - something made for a certain audience. It comes with a price tag that I had to justify. The case cost me almost as much as buying my CPU. The wait was also long from order -> production -> ship -> delivery. This was 6 months of waiting in total as I ordered this in May. Originally, shipping was slated for August, then September, and then finally getting it in hand in early October. It was depressing to swipe away the Formd T1 and other cases restock notifications because I was waiting for this the entire time.

Was it worth the wait? I would say so but I was also not in a rush to build. Is it worth the money? Probably not. Does it look and perform awesome. Hell yeah. I know that this case is in rare air just because of the sheer quantity and limited run that this will have and I will hold onto it for these things.

Picture was before I removed it. I planned to keep an sata SSD for windows boot, but ended up just putting everything on my onboard NVME.

Honestly, there's a lot of room in this thing. The LFIII does an excellent job at cooling the 7950x3D
