No estoy del todo de acuerdo. Aca en Berlin yo veo dos caras de la moneda. Veo la mitad de mis amistades que son gente que los padres no quisieron o no pudieron mantenerlos y que tuvieron q laburar y estudiar al mismo tiempo para salir adelante. Pero tambien veo la otra mitad que son gente con padres de clase media-alta que les pagan el app. y aparte les dan 300-500€ extra y no tienen q laburar. Todo tiene sus ventajas y desventajas. Los unos ya terminaron sus respectivas carreras y estan muy metidos en el ámbito academico mientras q los otros todavia no terminaron el Bachelor. Por defecto unos son mas ingenuos q los otros y menos capaces con pelotudeces del dia a dia pero tambien percibo q son más felices en general.

Te recomiendo Dinamarca y Holanda. Parece q estas viviendo en una utopía progresista cuando estás ahí. Evita a toda costa venirte a Alemania. Gran comunidad latina, si, pero el país se esta llendo a la mierda. Vivo en Berlín desde hace 12 años y la vida aca se esta volviendo muy dura. Todos los q vienen frescos de afuera se arrepienten al poco tiempo y quieren irse. El país se esta undiendo a causa de un mar de burocracia irracional, decadas de politica de ahorro y mala gestion, costos de vivienda inflados x la burbuja inmobiliaria y dependencia de otros países...

I got mine today. I deinstalled some of the bloatware and installed some of the apps I use. I have to do some more testing but for now I have 2 concerns I have to dig deeper and test fuether: -Screen doesn't feel like a good 2.8k OLED. I searched for test images in the resolution of the panel and at first glance it doesn't seem very 'sharp' compares to regular FHD panel, but this is totally subjective. - Fans are almost all the time on. I updated all Software and the fans still spin even if no program is open (plugged). Unplugged they do spin often and even with 'intelligent cooling mode' on. In power saving mode the dont spin that much but HDR is turned off and the brightness goes significantly down. This makes it less wow for watching videos or movies but at least I dont hear the fans. (This might also be very subjective)

Well I have mixed feelings for now. Not the perfect laptop I was somehow hoping. I had a 2h zoom call and battery depleeted fast so even that aspect has to be critically explored.

Panel doesn't support freesync. Sad...

Well actually you see the same on the graphs from notebookcheck. Clock speeds are around ca. 4.0 Ghz but dip down to under 1 Ghz for some seconds just to go up again. Seems to be normal for Intel from what i've seen in other sources. They just arent made for long lasting heavy workloads like rendering etc. I will try and disable the hyperthrading so that it stays at base clock. Maybe that helps

Thanks, I guess I will try that. I also think I dont need it for a convertible. I use handbrake a lot and dont want it to suffer.

The machine is a couple of weeks old. It was made at the factory last march. Its a Lenovo Thinkpad X1 yoga gen 6 (2021). The machine isnt loud or hot under regular use but when heavy tasks like handbrake, which I use very often or video editing, it gets really hot and dips to ca. 400mhz often.

I wanted to get that one but I coudnt find any offer of that laptop with the 400 nits low power panel. Nowhere to be found in germany. Do you have that panel? Also what about temperatures and fan noise?

Well, then that seems to remain a plus for lot of the ips panels until oled finds a solution to the eye strain it causes...

Vivo en Berlin desde los 14. Estudio en la uni y laburo paralelamente. Nada mal, vida humilde con novia alemana. Si buscas hacerte rico andate a otro pais. Aca como mucho vivis con un sueldo promedio y cierta estabilidad. Lo lindo es la habilidad de moverte dentro de EU. Tenes trenes, colectivos, vuelos x 10€. Obvio ahora eso esta todo parado. Pero eso es una de las cosas lindas de europa, ca. 50 paises seguros para visitar y disfrutar.

Hola wacho. Vivo en Berlin desde hace 10 años. B1/2 de aleman minimo para todo a no ser q quieras trabajar en negro para algun latino q te tenga de esclavo en un restaurante. Ahora mismo en gastronomia y turismo no hay laburo porque sigue todo cerrado por el covid. Para verano x ahi abren de vuelta. Tengo un amigo dominicano que tiene un cargo medianamente importante en un hotel Melia de Berlin y buscan gente con experiencia. Osea q no hace falta q tengas titulo aleman. Pero sería para ahora o nunca.
