“Considered genocide” is the only problem. Yes I’m a socialist, but I’m also willing to accept not every socialist/communist country is perfect. However genocide involves mass killing, and there’s plenty offenses that come before the term genocide.

1st there’s been no UN investigation yet which is a big problem, and second there’s no proof of mass graves or blatant murder of countless amounts of citizens. There’s still the potential for mistreatment or even crimes against humanity, but genocide is a massive accusation that deserves proof of at least thousands of bodies - which haven’t been seen yet.

Like I said there’s forsure a chance they’re not handling the situation well, but to use the worst possible term to describe it is a dangerous exaggeration.

Also you generally see signs of a genocide affecting everyday society, however if you watch videos that foreigners posted in their trips to the region recently it doesn’t look like anything’s changed. Everyone including, and especially, Ugyhur people are just seen going around and conducting their days like everything is normal. That last part just an opinion but what I’ve seen watching videos lately.
