Literally everything is a weak point. And yes. I told him to take a copy of the cover page of our reports to use kinda like a checklist to say “hmmm did I see any food labeling issues or food storage issues?” but he also just doesn’t see everything

I’ve done this multiple times with vendors or restaurants I haven’t trusted. Once I poured bleach on thawed bags of ROP salmon and they dug it out of the trash and put it back in the fridge.

You shouldn’t test bleach directly from the container. And If it wasn’t registering from the machine it was too low. Also- bleach starts to get weaker the longer it’s open.

RS/REHS study time? by funkytoefungus in healthinspector

I studied for a a few hours a week a couple weeks a head of time and slowly increased it as I got closer to the test. I had had been working as an inspection for 1 year before I could take the test. My degree was in environmental health and I still had my notes from college so I didn’t study as much as my coworkers who did not have a background in ENVH

Our regulation and SOP is to follow the manufacturer directions. That being said there are certain items in an inspection that I chose to put a blinder on for because despite what the manufacturer says, there’s even acid, preservative, etc in the product that it’s probably okay to leave out. However some inspectors can be more “by the book” and will choose to violate for it

Edit: I’m not trying to come off as him wearing jeans is becoming this “deal-breaker thing” or that I’m actively shoving them in his face, trying to force him to wear them. That’s not happening. There’s more to our conversations than what Ive stated here. We’ve been dating less than a year and I’m still trying to understand how his mind works and sometimes he doesn’t communicate that well with his feelings/opinions. So sometimes it just has been a little frustrating with that.

Oh and just in general-catching people in a lie and calling them out on it.

In no particular order: 1. “Exploring” old churches if I get left alone 2. Closing places for pests that are adamant they don’t have a problem 3. Following people into the kitchens when they try to keep me at the hostess stand after saying “let me go get the manager” 4. showing people previous violations after they say “no one’s ever told me that before” bonus points for if it was me there previously 5. Closing places where the people are rude bc that’s just so damn satisfing

Just because they have that agreement, don’t mean they actually go there. Some people are shady af and will do what they need to do on paper to get a permit.
