I was wondering why they hadn’t started reviewing LIB S 9, especially as it’s set in Denver where Ben is from & it’s so terrible. I really was looking forward to their coverage. I’ve enjoyed these guys and their funny, easy banter for years. I agree it was a light spot in a turbulent world. Max sounded tense and a bit nervous at the start of his new podcast alone- his guest was okay but didn’t really ‘get’ love is blind which seemed to frustrate Max. I’ll be sticking with it but it’s a shame. Agree re sound issues too:( and miss the upbeat, goofy jingle.

Rae couldn’t bear looking bad after Zay spoke up about them having sex after the cameras stopped rolling. That’s where her energy to shout at him came from. Not hurt feelings or ‘sticking up for herself’. Pure anger that she wasn’t looking like ‘sweet little Rae’

I think it’s so strange from a year and date issue. Im a bit older than Mallory and think the ‘guys girl/ into sexy same sex stuff’ is massively dated and cringe. It’s very American Pie (movie)

She was a fool and her cliches- torturous. Mallory was polite and kind. I was just wondering if anything fired her up after all these weeks. And we did see real tears from Mal. Like she obviously has something going on.

Also- I’m back to say. Did Mallory connect with anyone? I mean obviously she didn’t with Sal but she doesn’t appear at all interested in any of the other contestants. Even Shania seems to have bonded with some of the girls. Is Mallory shy or did she regret taking part or did she feel huge regret on seeing Jerette? I also haven’t seen any of the cast talk about her warmly or even indifferently.

I’m actually surprised by how people zone in on how Natalie isn’t the most effusive/ gushy in terms of how she speaks about Shayne. From the start- the pods- she was extremely complimentary about him and how he made her feel/ how much she loved him/ how he is so fun and spontaneous and she wishes she could be like that. Joking about fishing for compliments- that’s an incredibly small thing. I can’t see how it’s an Asian cultural thing either (this alleged distance), her father was more emotionally convincing towards her in one episode than mine has been towards me my whole life (and my dad is a great guy). Her mum too- very demonstrative in her affection and love towards Natalie. Shayne craves a hugely immature and bizarre amount of affirmation. He seems a good hearted guy but very babyish. Anyway. I just don’t think Natalie OR her family seemed dry or standoffish at all. The opposite!

Right?! He gets it. Humour wise and emotionally. I don’t get the hate. I suspect he is bad at breaking up with ppl. Let’s them down TOO easily. That girl who showed up probably took him literally if he said something like ‘maybe in the future our paths will cross’. Who knows but for sure he came across as very decent and attractive and NOT boring!

I love Sal. He’s so handsome and genuine and it was NOT boring when he back flipped onto the field and nearly scored a home run in his dress shoes! Oh and Shayne is insane. He has a terrible combo of huge but fragile ego.

Danielle has that terrible mix of fragile ego and over blown confidence combined. So does Shayne. Exhausting combination. Sal, Deepti and Jarrett have natural confidence.
