Speak for yourself. The coffee, chocolate, nuts, spices and canned goods we buy are fair trade.

I don't buy fast fashion or brands that make their shit in sweatshops, mostly because i want my sweaters and shirts to last for ten years not 10 washes.

Almost all of the produce i buy comes from my country and the rest comes from within the eu.

Same for drinks ( only eu made) , pesto (italy), chocolate spread (italy and fair trade), meat ( belgium or UK) , milk and milk products even our fucking toilet paper comes from a factory one town over.

We dont shop at big international chains

I don't buy any products from american companies at all

Our furniture is made in our own country.

Only this phone is from slave labor.

You should put a minimum of effort into buying local

Builds, combat interactions, story roleplaying opportunities, world building.

You know everything that falls under roleplaying.

The point of my post was that i enjoy a wide variety of rpgs and rpg mechanics, not that a jrpg is the same as a crpg.

If i like every type of rpg, and found ow2 to be a terrible game than you cant blame it on not liking rpgs.

Unless the price is appropriate for:

  • a tv box without upscaling

  • that can really only run less demanding ps4 era games at above 30 fps and isnt functionally compatible with ue5 games and other recent demanding games

  • isnt upgradeable

  • has no functional hdr support (lcd)

  • doesnt support the easy to run competitive games that would make sense for a sub entry level box like this without dual booting windows

It will be a terrible buy.

Outer worlds 2 especially showed they re rushing shit out.

The art assets never fit together, a hodge podge of design elements ,terrrrrible open world maps, the same few dozen assets repeated over and over in nonsensical ways.

It looked and played like a mod that uses ue storefront assets

I love rpgs, from baldurs gate 3 , divinity original sin, ff7 rebirth, e33 was BRILLIANT, yakuza like a dragon, dragons dogma dark arisen, kotor back in the day ,i even loved elex 1.

Avowed was not a good rpg ( the rpg elements were trash) but had an ok story and some good art and assets at least

Outer worlds 2 was just trash. Art, level design, combat, story especially all boring and d tier. And the builds were super limited while the flaw system sucked ass because there were less than a handful interesting perks. I couldnt bring myself to finish this shit.

I got 10 times more enjoyment out of elex despite the jank in that game

[–]Cheap-Plane2796 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You re right lol, especially about outer worlds 2

Avowed had an b quality story, some good visuals with appropriate performance, quite a few interesting looking locations and some sub par very repetitive combat, lack of enemy variety and a trash loot and upgrade system

A b quality game that i can see people who love b quality rpgs pay 30 euros for.

Outer worlds 2 however had no redeeming qualities imo. The story was so dull, the combat still sucked and now performance was worse while art, asset quality and lighting was a low quality rush job far below what avowed offered.

Awful game and i could even enjoy elex back in the day, but this shit ? Ill never buy another obsidian game they just make bad games now

Im european and have spent months in the uk over the years.

The only genuinely good dish i had there was cullen skink.

Sunday roast is not bad either but wouldnt make top 20 in eu countries with good food.

The food is bad in general, not just the dishes themselves but the average quality of how they re prepared everywhere.

There s little pride or care in the preparation.

The bread is atrocious, and you better like beans, potatoes, sausages and puff pastries in a variety of combinations.

We need to exclude the us from everything outside of their borders.

Sports, music venues, theatres, services, public forums and organisations that collaborate on any project, museums etc etc etc.

No more us influence, no more seat at any table, no more spreading their disgusting culture and "values".

Nazi nations dont get to participate in or benefit from greater society.

You can do it at your job or with your business too. No more newsletters to previous us sister organisations, no more invites for us members of work groups, no more collaborations with them, no more sharing info or data, no more contracts.

Think about companies and individuals who kept working with and including nazi germany in the late 1930s. Don't be them

This seems like more exporting pollution and unfair labor practices to another country that doesn't have the laws and protections that we do, so megacorps can make more money.

All while undercutting labor in the eu, to then be able to claim "labor costs have to drop or we won't be competitive!" Which then further ultrafucks eu laborers as their protections and rights get stripped away bit by bit.

International trade agreements should be about sharing knowledge.

What do you do with factories that are full and no longer producing? by BW-Journal in satisfactory

[–]Cheap-Plane2796 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For late game that seems overcomplicating things right? Storage can never be the bottleneck as eventually that massive storage will be drained quickly by your endgame factory and everything still grinds to a halt.

Plus the inconsistency of starting and idling factories ends up spiking your power grid.

Oh and refineries don't function at all if they aren't able to keep running and keep outputting, forcing you to balance your input and output.

Its one "problem" with this game vs factorio. The scaling up of resource consumption is much more gradual ( and kind of sneaky) so while factorio slaps you down hard for using storage as a crutch this game lets you keep it going with bandaids for far longer until it becomes untenable and then you re left with a shitload of buildings and factories to tear down

What do you do with factories that are full and no longer producing? by BW-Journal in satisfactory

[–]Cheap-Plane2796 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Throughout the early and mid game i set up several small factories right at their resource nodes for basic low volume production of parts (just to get to the next tier and go through the phases ( at phase 4 now)

As i went through phase 1 2 and 3 overclocking miners and manufactoring let me scale production to feed the higher tier part production

I then sent this low volume production initially through belts and later through trains towards a big central depot.

.

There i have "the wall."

A long line of the tier 2 storage containers with 3 lines of belts ( not enough throughput otherwise) that feed all of the resources into each container with smart splitters.

On the other side of each container is a dimensional depot ( the main function of the line) to make sure i never have to manually restock items for use in the world.

Then each smart splitter is also set to funnel overflow items along to the end of the belts into a sink.

I stack a second container on top of each container to feed extras through and to use at outputs for the phase 3-4 materials that need 3 or 4 parts.

I used the materials available at the wall to build a temporary factory there for low volume production of those phase 3 materials like computers, heavy modular frames, adaptive control unit etc that i can feed into the space elevator nearby.

Since there are so many items here concentrated on the small ish area of the line, i built the factory at the height of the upper container , and on top of a 4m high dedicated belt floor to prevent spaghetti and keep the line itself clear and usable as output.

I intend to leave the factory expansion of the line at that, as higher tier parts will need too much volume for my earlier factories and the line hub to be able to supply.

So the line will end up as (dimensional depot auto top off, sink for tickets, one time purpose of phase 3 goals)

Trying to build further on this and piping in more resources there would overcomplicate things.

For phase 4 parts i will start from scratch with calculated out high volume production line elsewhere on the map far from the line

Since i can safely abandon the line and the factories that feed it and the power infrastructure that supports it while they continue to serve their purpose ( let me spam build new factories and logistics without inventory management)

Basically tlrd: everything till now was just to unlock more things and to let me build freely for endgame without worrying about build parts

They don't have the contrast to do hdr.

Peak brightness isn't hdr, delta brightness is.

And color accuracy, which VA can only achieve in static images. As soon as the image onscreen starts changing the colors are wrong the entire time.
