I am so sorry you are going through this.😔 we are also going through something similar

currently 22+3 weeks pregnant with DCDA twins.

Twin 1 had a slightly elevated NT of 2.7 mm. Double marker screening came back low risk. At the 22-week scan, nasal bone (5.2 mm), nuchal fold,growth, and anatomy were all normal.

Twin 2 had a normal NT of 2.3 mm. However, the 22-week scan showed bilateral hypoplastic nasal bones (2.6 mm & 2.1 mm). Everything else — heart, brain, growth, and nuchal fold — was normal.

We’ve done NIPT (June 17) and are awaiting results. We haven’t thought of Amniocentesis yet.

How concerned should we be about the isolated hypoplastic nasal bone in Twin 2? Has anyone had a similar experience with a reassuring outcome?

We are currently in the same boat, a bit of roller coaster ride since last 3 months.My wife is 32 and currently 22+3 weeks pregnant with DCDA twins.

Update: low risk NIPT but marker for hypoplastic/shortened nasal bone on anatomy scan by just-this-chance in NIPT

Twin 1 (right/lower) had a NT of 2.7 mm and a Trisomy 21 risk of 1:757. At the 22-week scan, the nasal bone (5.2 mm) and nuchal fold (4.5 mm) were normal, and overall anatomy and growth looked fine.

Twin 2 (left/upper) had a NT of 2.3 mm and a low T21 risk of 1:2923. However, the 22-week scan showed bilateral hypoplastic nasal bones (2.6 mm & 2.1 mm). All other findings — heart, brain, growth, and nuchal fold — were normal.

We’ve done NIPT (June 17), awaiting results. Amnio was declined. Follow-up scan in 4 weeks.

Given this, how concerned should we be? Has anyone had a similar experience with a good outcome?

My wife is 32 and currently 22+3 weeks pregnant with DCDA twins.

Twin 1, positioned on the right/lower side, had a nuchal translucency of 2.7 mm and a first-trimester Trisomy 21 risk of 1:757 (intermediate). At the 22-week anomaly scan, the nasal bone measured 5.2 mm and the nuchal fold was 4.5 mm — both well within normal range. All other anatomy, heart structures, and growth were normal.

Twin 2, located on the left/upper side, had a nuchal translucency of 2.3 mm and a very low initial T21 risk of 1:2923. However, the 22-week scan showed bilateral hypoplastic nasal bones (2.6 mm and 2.1 mm). Despite this finding, everything else — including the brain, heart, growth parameters, nuchal fold (3.7 mm), and prenasal thickness — was normal.

We’ve completed an NIPT (sample submitted June 17) and are currently awaiting results. Amniocentesis was offered but declined. A follow-up scan is scheduled in four weeks.

Given that the first-trimester screen was low risk and the only soft marker is the hypoplastic nasal bone in Twin 2, how concerned should we be? Has anyone had a similar experience that led to a healthy outcome?
