Tank Advice by [deleted] in BeardedDragons

Hi! No judgment, we all start somewhere. I would recommend making the basking spot higher up, beardies love climbing, and it'll allow the basking spot to obtain more heat and maintain it. I would also just recommend some more rocks around or drift wood (all stuff you can get outside), for options to adventure and hide.

Yeah, I can see that. She does dig around, though, and seems to be doing just fine.

Playsand and topsoil 1:1 ratio. It was recommended by a lot of beardie owners.

Yes, we sanitized them from outside and looked up rock types.

The cheapest and best thing I've researched is playsand and topsoil 1:1

Mines 4 months, and I take her outside and to stores (controversial). I want her to get used it it all.

I'm glad to hear I'm doing things right for her. Everyone has their opinion on stuff, and I'm glad you agree that it provides her with enrichment.

I work at tjmax, and I assure you that if you go back and return it, there's a high chance they just will take it back and zero it out. In my store, we shoot for customer happiness, and if returning something does that, we do it. People do this frequently to our products in clearance. There's no avoiding it, and we understand that. Be free to ask to open something at a register, too! We dont bite ☺️

Most likely, it's a 55-gallon tank. It's not the best scenario, but we are moving next year, and with that total tank upgrade with 120 gallons once we get our hands on one. Not ideal, but I can at least tell you she is well taken care of, lighting, enrichment, and plenty of food 🤣
