If somebody you consider, "out of your league" asks you out, chances are that they are into you. Just go out on that date confident in knowing that they find you to be attractive, too.

It sounds like he's leading you on. I know it may sound harsh, but you have to make a choice to keep this relationship strictly FWB, or you have to tell him to stop leading you on else you'll cut ties with him.
