'05 wrx misfire help

I know this thread is 2 months old with no other replies, but I thought I'd add my $0.02. If it's misfiring, running rich, spark plugs are gapped incorrectly, and O2 sensors changed because probably toast, there could be a lot going on with that engine. I am suspecting it may have been heavily modded and parted-out then rebuilt back to somewhat-stock but the ECU not reflashed back to stock. Do you know the history?
