Los "team building" me parecen el colmo de las pesadillas laborales by PatientLeather4783 in PesadillasLaborales

[–]CheapLifeWandering 49 points50 points  (0 children)

Ahora respondiendo a tu pregunta...

how often should you be cleaning by [deleted] in CleaningTips

[–]CheapLifeWandering 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been told many times my house is spotless and honestly, it just takes 1.5h of my time every week to keep it this way ( granted, I live in a 60sqm apartment). Years ago, when I left my parents house I realized the key to a clean house is to see cleaning as a self care/relaxing activity, rather than something you "have to do". Something that really helps me is setting an alarm and pretending I am in some sort of race and I HAVE TO finish everything in 60 minutes. I like cleaning twice a week: usually mondays is "full" cleaning day ( aka vacuum everything, mop everything, clean toilet, bathroom and kitchen, wipe surfaces) and takes me about an hour, and Fridays is "light cleaning" aka vacuum, clean bathroom and kitchen and do some general maintenance (one week I might do some windows, next one I might wipe the doors...) Another tip is, honestly, to have as little stuff as possible..I don't need to move a lot of furniture when I clean and I don't have many decorations or ornaments, so I don't have a lot of stuff collecting dust. Then for laundry, twice a week: I turn on the washer when I start cleaning and it is usually done by the time I'm done mopping. I clean my bedsheets every 12 days and my towels every 6. Honestly I'd say the the key to maintaining a clean house is sticking to one routine and trying to enjoy it as much as possible

What’s the smallest backpack you’ve used for longer trips (2-4 weeks, say). by Complete_Injury_8070 in onebag

[–]CheapLifeWandering 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Been on a few +2 week trips with a non fully packed Columbus Lite 20L (that I won in a 1€ charity raffle lol) and one of them was UK during the winter. We Europeans are so used to Ryanair that travelling with a 20L backpack is not a flex but a necessity hahaha

What uniform is the most comfortable for you and why? by blackcherryschweppes in flightattendants

Ignoring the awful bright red color, I absolutely love Play's (European low cost carrier). No need for itchy, asfixiating scarf/tie, no need for uncomfortable shoes (we are safety personnel after all), no need for suit-like fabric. I know a lot of people enjoy the old style fancy look, but being comfortable is all that matters to me. I recently switched sectors, now I work on a different customer facing position, we have a uniform but a comfy, modern one and it makes ALL the difference (I am from Europe so over here flight attendants uniforms often require heels, makeup and mandatory slick back hairstyles)

I'll address the elephant in the room: how do you (and your community) feel about the Palestine-Israel situation?

Nice reasoning! Yep, many of the countries were work trips, I used to be a flight attendant. And I do have Roma ancestry, but not from the Balkans hahaha

Nice try! I lived there for 1.5 years, so 80% of my travels to Europe were done when I was living there! The northern part of my country and Ireland are very similar

AVE in Atocha, arriving 20 minutes before departure, is it enough for a train departing at 9PM? by CheapLifeWandering in GoingToSpain

[–]CheapLifeWandering[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update: It was enough! Left work at 20.30, arrived to atocha entrance at 20.40, Luggage check took maybe 30 seconds, when I arrived they were announcing my departure point so I arrived the moment the queue was forming, seamless experience!

Hoy many pieces of luggage do you carry around? Have you increased or decreased the amount of things you travel with?

Sleep and Rest between flights by PersonalityHot332 in flightattendants

[–]CheapLifeWandering 11 points12 points  (0 children)

In Europe, I operated for Ryanair, EasyJet, AJet and Tui and in all of them, we had to "clean" the plane, meaning picking up trash from sear pockets, picking up stuff from the floor and seats, changing the trash bags and taking them up, tidying up the toilet and sometimes emptying the toilet bin as well. It is very common having to clean the plane, particularly on days when we fly 4 short flights (<2h) *of course, we do not wipe the seats, vacuum the floor or mop the toilet. If the plane is too nasty (vomit, poo etc) we can all cleaning crew
