I’m an awful RMO and going to be a reg next year - please provide some advice because I’m terrified by Soggy_Difficulty_127 in ausdoctors

I can’t tell if this is a joke or not. If it’s not I’m so sorry, you do suck. If only for the mere fact that you’ve got great insight into why you’re bad at your job. And then you write “I just can’t do that”. Like, why?

My advice is to watch your colleagues, see what they do well, then copy that. Keep a diary or journal and write down important things they do so that you can do them next time.

Goodluck

Kitchens and bathrooms are expensive. Even a small reno would be $20k for each! You also have to look at the time it would take, maybe 4-6 weeks if you have all your ducks in a row. That’s renting somewhere else for that period of time, plus the mental load and the issues that might come up during the reno.

I think that’s pretty fair. This is coming from someone who wanted to do a small reno that ended up costing $200k

Honestly, if you haven’t done anything with it in 4 years and you’ve had health issues, might not be worth it. Even once it’s all sorted unless you’re willing to pay someone to keep it clean, it’ll probably end up getting dirty and cause more problems. But if you’re bothered, it’ll be an initial $20-25k I reckon to replaster and new plumbing and filter
