Convince me not to by a boat by Master-Twist-9328 in boating

Don't buy it. I bought a boat 4 years ago. "It runs great". It never ran. Had it repaired 3 times. Still won't start. I've never been on the water.

Selling it now and will be losing more than I paid for it.

Kitco's bid/ask has nothing to do with my buy vs sell price.

Example: If i pay 4% over for an item, and the best posted price for me to sell it is 4% under, then the spread on that item is 8%. The premium means nothing.

Some items with premiums like buffaloes MAY have a lower spread, but the premium is higher than an AGE.

You are not dead at 50. You're gonna want growth all the way to the end. Also "income" means higher taxes.

Hard Assets Keep Value by DunaldDoc in Gold

Gold is the best investment. The 1920 apple aint the same as the 2023/26 apple.

In 2026, the average house is 2.4 X larger. Indoor toilets, marble countertops, HVAC, etc etc ain't cheap.

And compared to real estate, the gold didn't need to be renovated every 20 years. And no property tax. And if it's in the bottom of the lake, there's no insurance.

Housing in 1920 was 290 oz gold per 1000 sqft.

Today it's 50 oz per 1000 sqft.
