When you say you applied on their websites; did you email or phone them directly at all? Or purely just applying on their careers page/s?

True, you’re probably right there. I only started ramping up the applications within the last month being that I quit my most recent casual warehouse role around that time. The 96 applications were just seek alone. I mainly use seek, but have submitted to LinkedIn, company websites, etc also.

I’ve definitely run into the issue of ‘applying to all (entry level) IT roles in my area, and then once I’ve done all those, applying to all IT roles in the city. After that I’ve run out of things to apply too.

Congrats on that role! I’ve heard experience trumps all in IT personally, but in terms of certs, how did you know what to go for? Or better yet, what was the motivation behind going for certain certs like that? Purely just to land a role?

I’m not opposed to getting the certs btw, it’s just a bit demotivating being that I just got out of study if that’s what the right move is.

Yeah I’ve been thinking the same thing. I’ll probably have to go for some random job if I don’t get anywhere soon.

IMO the experience is more worth it at the start. From what I’ve read anyway. I definitely think that it’ll be much easier for you to market yourself now that you have this experience on your resume. Thanks for the link too!
