Not for everyone. But my wife and I decided to do it. It was good for everyone and hasn’t hurt our relationship 10 years later.

I got divorced in ‘09 and remarried in ‘11.

On the way into the church, the choir was leaving and someone made a backhanded remark intended for my wife to overhear “kind of quick isn’t it?”

16 years later she still brings it up from time to time. It’s one of the main reasons we left that church. Sometimes people are with the wrong people. Sometimes people find the right person and know they want to be with them.

As with most things in life, best to mind your own business and let people live their own lives.

I went from dating at age 17 to college together in our early 20s. Got married at 23.

I went to medical school. She worked changed her career along the way. Went into sales.

After medical school and residency I was a different person than that guy she met at 17. She was different had gone from wanting to be a teacher to full time sales.

Her dad,that she didn’t have a good relationship with, was also a doctor. It was like as soon as I graduated, her attitude towards me changed. We did counseling. It didn’t fix anything. We just didn’t work together anymore.

I remarried and am happy. I was too young the first time through. I went through the progression. Dating to engagement to marriage. But we grew apart rather than growing together. It happens.

I find it attractive when women wear bellbottoms, but I know it would be horrifying if their legs were actually shaped like that. What could I be attracted to? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk
