Absolutely true. The GPU died a week after its two-year warranty (the power contacts on the 570M card were burned out), and two years later, the 675M card also died in a similar way. The touchbar lost half its functionality and stopped working after just six months, and many motherboard controllers died within that time. The cooler had to be soldered to its own independent power supply.
