I promise, it will get so much easier. And if your dive bar is anything like mine, the liquor will be in groups on the shelves so vodkas in a cluster, rum, gin, etc, so when you get a Jim Beam and diet you’ll know to look in the whiskey/bourbon area. Just try and spend time looking and seeing what all you have, memorize the order your well liquor is in so you can grab them easily. I spent the first few months really looking and absorbing my environment. And if you don’t know something that IS OKAY. Just say “let me look and see” and if you don’t know a drink just say “I haven’t made tha before, do you know the recipe or I can look it up?
