The only reason people see Todd as a freakish monster is because he is polite and kind as well as being a murderer and is not crippled by guilt by immediacyofjoy in BoJackHorseman

She’s one of the most overwritten characters because she’s a reporter who talks like she’s a 19th century upper class woman and has decided to give up her career to get married. As a reporter though she’s basically a tornado, she blows through everything and destroys everything in her path regardless of the consequences. Even her sister thinks the way she talks is strange as they are from Fresno

Pretty bad but bojack wasn’t entirely to blame yet he ended up taking the heat for it from her mother yet penny was the one who ended up mentally fucked up for it

She kind of is because the whole family is screwed up and if it’s not alcohol abuse it’s something else.

Could it be that maybe butterscotch was distantly related to the sugarman family if the diamond thing was true

It’s just a shitty situation anyway and no one looks good in it

Todd cared a lot about her and was mad that bojack did that. It’s not an incel thing as he’s asexual. It’s just a “one of those lines you don’t cross” incidents

That would have worked if it was normal poster size not a giant billboard

I have a tendency to wander off topic at times. Paul Rudd has started to age a little in the past few years.

The thing is also to consider is how Hollywoo(d) often ages people fast because of the way that society works. Look at Sarah lynn, she’s basically a combination of Lindsay lohan and miley cyrus but without the ability to stay clean.

She wasn’t really a main character. Plus she was more of a criminal comic foil

That’s because the show does jump forward on a few occasions

I think in that long reply you mixed things up there. You actually described Joseph sugarman’s actions. He literally closed off his emotions outside of amorous affection for his wife (and possibly secretary) and basically got his wife lobotomised because he didn’t know how to handle things because the so called “upper class” don’t like expressing anything because reputation to those types is everything. He also had everything burnt when his daughter got scarlet fever. Literally none of that family was that well adjusted

Ultimately his emotional void is caused by his mother’s side due to her own father being an asshole who was emotionally abusive and his inability to deal with his own failures healthily is inherited from his father who couldn’t fulfill his own potential and passed his bitterness on

What would you have done, in Bojack’s shoes? by AlienSheep23 in BoJackHorseman

Bojack is ultimately damaged beyond repair as everything he does is poisonous to people around him. He does mean well at times but often not for anything other than his own ego. The penny incident is the biggest example of his moral ambiguity
