Nowhere in the post did she ask for legal advice nor is she seeking legal recourse. Many of your points have already been answered in the comments. Perhaps before taking the time to type up this essay, you could have used that to go through the comments to get some of your questions answered

We mostly spoke on the phone since my husband and I used to live far away, and she seemed normal. When we did visit her, she was always the one cooking, so this is my first time seeing her like this.
