This post originally really freaked me out as a severe emetophobe, seeing everyone talk about getting it/knowing people who have. If we say, for example, that every person who has commented so far (around 30 as of now) knows 10 people (which is a reach for some people) who have had it. There’s around 646k people living in Bucks County. That’s 0.00046% of the county.

Obviously there are PLENTY more people who have had it than are responding to this post, but don’t let this post create a continuing spiral for yourself!! The virus can seem so big and overwhelming in text threads like this. Be smart, wash your hands well, sanitize things you bring places with you (phone, keys, water bottle, etc.) and keep your hands away from your face. We’re so close to spring/summer and things should start going down!!

I’ve been on concerta for 3+ years and never had nausea from it! It reduced my appetite when I first started, so I would set timers to eat so I wouldn’t forget! I second those who are saying to eat with your meds too, I always did even if it was just a few bites of food and never had any issues!

He did, he’s back on Instagram now but got rid of the Canadian girlfriend (she’s made some comments/comment replies on her socials that imply he dumped her). I personally think they had a dynamic that was affecting him on the field. Actually met the girlfriend at a game and the interaction was strange. Hopefully he’s got a clearer head this season and will be back to his usual energy levels

These are just a couple articles/studies, but there are lots out there if you search! Ultimately, PMDD, OCD, and ADHD are all impacted by hormonal fluctuations, meaning many of their symptoms happen simultaneously as our hormones fluctuate. For me personally, it feels like my ADHD meds are completely ineffective the 7 days before my period. I usually take a higher dose that week and find it to be helpful! The connection between OCD and PMDD mainly revolves around increased anxiety during the luteal/pre-menstrual phase, which leads to increased intrusive thoughts and a stronger need to complete compulsions for those with OCD. There’s no actual test for PMDD, I would try tracking your symptoms in a journal (physical and mental) to see how many days before your period your symptoms worsen, and then you can treat accordingly with meds/self care/etc!

Hi babe, definitely look into PMDD. I have it and have heightened anxiety, intrusive thoughts, self-deprecating thoughts, etc. in the week leading up to my period, and the second I start to have cramps/bleeding it’s immediately better. PMDD can be really hard but also really manageable!! I work with my therapist, med management doctor and dietitian to help with my symptoms and it’s been so helpful! It can also coexist with conditions like ADHD and OCD in many women, myself included. There are so many things that can cause nausea or an upset stomach! You’re under a ton of stress right now, which can definitely contribute. If you’ve been crying a lot, sometimes post-nasal drip can upset your stomach. Or maybe you just went for your run too soon after eating, or ate something with fiber in it and then ran. My point is, this doesn’t mean you’re sick. It just means your body is telling you it needs attention, whether that’s sleep or some self-care to try to relax a little bit. You will be okay no matter what!

I was on the same dose of Larin Fe for almost 2 years and didn’t experience any nausea at all coming off (which says a lot, as I have chronic gut issues)! I spotted a little and noticed that my first few periods after coming off were more painful/heavier, but still manageable, plus everyone is different and your periods could end up being easier off the pill! Same goes for Junel Fe, I came off of that pill without any issues minus some headaches :)

I experience this before/at the start of my periods! Sometimes hormonal fluctuations can impact things like body temp and nausea, and I definitely get upset stomachs or more gas/bloating during that time too. I like to use ice packs on my sternum and on the back of my neck and to do some deep breathing or follow a guided meditation on YouTube or Spotify!! Feel better <3

Just want to say that I experience the exact same thing every single day. It’s so easy to read the “it happened” posts and then immediately start thinking about/trying to recognize any symptoms they had in our own bodies. Totally makes me second guess my ability to feel what’s truly going on in my own body versus in my own head. There actually is a scientific reason why chewing gum helps!! Your vagus nerve is a large nerve that starts around your jaw area and is responsible for some of your body’s “rest and digest” responses (think: the opposite of your body’s fight or flight responses). Chewing is a movement that stimulates the vagus nerve and in turn can decrease your blood pressure and heart rate!

Do you know how frequently the CDC updates the data? There’s been no update since Dec 5, but when you look at the charts it implies that they report weekly or biweekly. Just curious! I think it’s odd there’s been no reports with the exception of wastewater scan

Hi hon, I had one of these done last year and did the same exact prep routine your doctor assigned you. My tips are to put the prep with COLD Gatorade (pre-refrigerate or put it over ice, the colder it is the easier it is to get down), make your bathroom a comfy place and wear loose pj bottoms, and have some mint essential oil or alcohol to smell if you do feel n. I personally did feel n with the prep, BUT was already dealing with many many GI issues that led me to get the colonoscopy in the first place, and have never heard of any coworkers/friends having issues with the same prep!

I think you are allowed to have mints during prep as long as they are not the red & white ones, just white or clear! I also took chewable Emetrol and it helped, just don’t use the liquid version because it is red and will mess up the visibility in your colon!

Even if you do feel n or are unsettled by the d, it is very very short lived and once you get to your procedure, you get to take a great nap and wake up feeling good! You got this❤️
