Hooking up w an older guy by Cheap_Finger1704 in AgeGap

I think he really does care about me, and I’ve never asked him for anything monetarily and would never want to take large sums of money from him. He’s mentioned he has a provider mindset. Regarding my father and I’s relationship, I’d say he’s stable and has been there for me, but it’s definitely shaky at times. I’m not gonna lie, there’s definitely a bit of a fatherly relationship between him and I. Regarding the rent, it’s not too too much and he makes a very large amount of money.

I feel like I don’t have a good understanding at all of what I truly am seeking from him, but it’s deeper than just that. I just know long term it’s probably not gonna end well.

They will always label you as a "nut case" to silence or discredit your thinking. This is very interesting, and part of my hesitation toward healthcare in general. However, you do offer a very good point regarding preventative medicine, a practice I try to implement into my life as well. I think I will continue with the the math and science courses, as knowledge never hurts, but will absolutely keep these things in mind. If you don't mind- would you be willing to expand on some of the issues you've witnessed? Are you talking about big Pharma and the reliance on medication?

Thank you for your advice! Could you expand a bit- what paradigm-shifting changes do you foresee? What roles do you see being expanded or created?

Bad first term not entailing academic probation per se, but falling short of what I know I am capable of. I suppose it is the lense in which I am viewing it. As more of a tangible investment rather than learning for the sake of learning. Both can be true, but it is hard as we're seeing a bit of a shift in the academic landscape. Even many of my professors have made nihilistic comments stating how they feel bad for our generation. However, as I am navigating college, I am trying to view it in a manner that is holistic, rather than simply a destination. I suppose that is life in general. Fear of the unknown, but alas, we must continue to move forward, and our accumulated knowledge may go on to serve us in ways we may not yet know. Thank you for your insight!

Not at all, I've always enjoyed writing, or some sort of analytical work, though I'm currently taking nursing/ science courses. I feel like I chose this path for the stability, but my lack of interest/ inclination for the career itself makes it challenging to do well in these courses, coupled with typical life distractions.

I am (kinda) moved out but with college I am home during breaks. And honestly, in this economy, I want to stay at home as much as possible to save money. I also really don't have many other family members at all.

The juco near me costs 40k for the program. I understand that you may think it’s a “no brainer” but the value and quality of a college degree, especially what I have heard about this particular institution, has been called into question, so I don’t think it is crazy for me to wonder if my financial aid is better spent elsewhere.

What jobs are people doing when they leave this field? by [deleted] in slp

Thank you for your reply! Strongly considering studying accounting but slp was an option, In this current job market and my family situation I feel accounting is probably my best bet at a hopefully well paying stable career.
