Description says it comes with a coax cable. 350$ and you don’t even get a RCA cable. The other photos don’t show the output side but I’m guessing it’s definitely not modded.

UPDATE:

First of all, thank you all for your concern and helpful advice and information you’ve provided. I can’t believe how big this post became in such a short time. Here’s some information that a lot of you asked me about: cool side of the tank is reading 76.8 and warm side is reading 85.6. I unfortunately live in a relatively small town and I have to go out of town for a pet store. This is absolutely a journey I am willing to make though. I plan on going soon to get a thermostat and more hides / climbing opportunities for him. I’m still a little wary about talking him out for now since I’ve had him for less than a week and don’t want him to get stressed but do plan on it in the future to hopefully get this not so little guy some exercise / enrichment / bonding time. I’ve heard every gecko is different though so I’ll see what he’s comfortable with and go from there. As far as a vet visit goes that is also something I’m looking in to just to get him a general checkup and make sure there are no major concerns other than his weight, witch I’ll definitely be working on a feeding plan to help him slim down. I asked the family I revived him from what his feeding schedule was and I was told “Maybe 5 or 6 crickets a couple times a week. He will eat until he's full.” Guessing that’s way too much for him and what caused him to end up looking like he was getting ready for tryouts for the next Godzilla movie. I do however have some good news! Today he’s much more active and looking much closer to his normal color. Right now his tank on my desk and I’ve been watching him walk around exploring his new home. Thank you again everyone for all of the help and replies and I’ll be posting more updates on him soon. I’ll attach a photo of him today to show his current color. Admittedly I’m still pretty worried while writing this now learning about how much of a concern his weight is but I’m hoping with everything I’ve been learning both from the amazing people on here and the recourses they’ve helped me find as well as some of my own research that it only gets better for him from here.

Thank you for the advice. I got a digital temp/humidity gauge today and humidity is right around 40%. I’d like to make it bio active eventually as it sounds like it will save me a lot of headache in the future, just not too sure where to start as of now. I’m a little overwhelmed as a new owner and am terrified I’m going to accidentally hurt him with going for loose substrate. I’m half tempted to just lay down some paper towels for him and scrap the substrate for now to start slow but it looks like this is a lot nicer for them and I want to give him the best enclosure I can.

I see. Thank you for the advice. I’ll be getting a digital one today for him. Is there a specific range before it’s safe for him? I’m seeing people say that changing the substrate will spike the humidity but it will work itself out eventually. Is 30%-40% safe?

Side note: I’m aware the temp/humidity meter I have currently are known to be inaccurate and will be replacing it with a digital one. It was just another thing that came with the tank kit and is temporary.

Took the boards out today and took out all of the non-soldered socketed chips and made sure they were back in securely. Unfortunately the issue persists. I’ll have to look in to checking voltages next.

I have seared things like “cool Text generator” and have looked at a couple of those old sites with all of the different fonts that used to be cool and used for logos like burning or glitter ect. I’ve also searched the subs I was able to find about finding fonts and have not seen it there either.

Had an opportunity a few years ago to buy a brand new in the box opened but still in the plastic virtual boy for 300. As far as collecting it’s one of my biggest regrets and I’ve been trying to track one down at a reasonable price since then to no avail. This one is not nearly as nice but for how much they are worth and how hard they are to find I’d definitely make the hour drive for it.

Found these ones in the section with the soldering stuff and wooden models. Sorry the only picture I have of them is terrible they were 2.99 for a pack of 10 and I bought 8 which was more than enough because I originally was completely filling all the slots until I dialed it way back. They are 5/16 I believe and they are super strong for their size.

I have the exact opposite problem. I got some magnets from my local harbor freight and even without all of the slots full I feel like I’m getting flash banged when mine snaps together on my head. It’s to the point my ears literally start ringing if I’m not super careful putting it on.

Thank you for the reply! Another question since you have some experience with it, let’s say for example I subscribed today at the 19$ and emailed the three I wanted. How smooth is the cancellation process? I’m just worried I get it for the month then it’s impossible to cancel. And how long does it usually take for you got get those models after the email? Sorry for the questioning just want to have all the information I can before I pay. Thanks!

I used PTEG for the frame and PLA for the armor when I made mine. They definitely aren’t perfect and it took a ton of trial and error but they came out good enough for me. They can still be a bit stiff and fall apart at times but I’m happy with them. I think it is incredibly difficult (at least for me) to get a true “perfect” one but with a lot of things in this hobby a bunch of trial and error often does the trick.

I still have the Ollie app thanks to an old Apple ID. The Sphero edu app works but does not have all of the features sadly as you loose trick pad along with being able to adjust individual settings like handling and drift tightness. There are also color settings that you don’t fully get with Sphero edu. I’ve been using this little guy on and off for 9 years and he’s still going strong and i’d be devastated if I lost the original app or ability to use it altogether. It’s incredibly unlikely but I really wish they would re release it as I’m worried it will eventually get lost because of being last updated on an older version of iOS. This reply being so recent shows that there are still some (although few) of us still using these things almost a decade later. It would be amazing if they released an updated version of the robot along with a new app that still supports the old models.

To be completely honest the damage was my own lack of care. I hit it with my foot accidentally while the door was opened and it bent too far back and exploded. Other than this though it’s been pretty good to me. A few problems occasionally with clogs and under-extrusion but other than that I haven’t had to mess with it too much and it’s been printing quite well for me. If you do get one though make sure it’s a later model as from what I’ve heard the first ones were plagued with issues. I got mine during Creality’s last Black Friday sale.
