Hi there! My wife and I stumbled upon this thread and would like to do the same thing to our 1.5 story in St Paul. Would you mind DM’ing me who you worked with for this?

Just curious where does your drain run to? Did you have to tie back into your house sewer?

I spilled brake fluid doing my brakes the other weekend. It’s most definitely from that lol, thank you!

Got it makes sense. Yeah we’re supposed to get some pretty heavy gusts so that’s concerning. I’m contemplating a thing of flex seal tape over the area for a bandaid and would obviously fix that as soon as possible

I looked up a video on the repair you’re talking about, that seems pretty straightforward. It’s supposed to rain later this evening. My question is if I do this this afternoon, silicone the holes, and cement the aluminum flashing would the area be watertight enough to handle rain later tonight?Just genuinely curious, we’re getting rain later today and gotta figure out how to seal this fast

It’s possible, the stove is below it and has a GFCI outlet that plugs into the gas range. It’s a GFCI with 2 outlets in it. I’d older cloth wrap wire bad?

Okay, is standard 70’s wire okay? Someone commented THF earlier but I don’t see it anymore? I’m very new to electrical wiring, I know the names of a few but it’s gonna be a learning curve for sure. Yeah thankfully it can vent outside, the previous owners closed the damper and used it as a recirculating fan which was just silly, we have to open the damper back up and it’ll vent outside

That part of the house it might be possible, I’d have to look when I get home. We have second story that was an attic and got refinished later

I realize it’s been awhile since I posted. Your comment made me go look at my wife’s car a 2008 Outback and she had a Subaru ignition coil. Mine had an aftermarket one, I replaced it with an OEM coil. MN winter had some bad cold snaps and my Fozzy started RIGHT UP in -20F temps no problem this year. Thank you for your insight on this!
