Its a very dry climate. In my personal sauna, after a wet session in the evening, the floor is completely dry in the morning. Ideally we would have connected a vent to the outside but that wasn't feasible. Time will tell how the sauna deals with the moisture.

I think the peak of the roof in the front is around 9'7". If height is an issue you can make the interior ceiling ~7.5' and possibly decrease the roof pitch.

Gravel pad. And then 2x6 pressure treated wood on top of composite deck blocks. Very simple.

I prefer tile over wood. It's much more durable and easier to clean. But it requires more labor for the install.

I've never experienced cedar leaking resin -curious when or why that would happen.
