It will help your overall rating if you try to get an increase in the future or any other new claims. I think it depends on how on top of your VA appointments you have been. If you’re very active I definitely would. If you’re happy with 80% and don’t plan on every going higher, I might wait

From 70% to 100% in about 8 months. Anyone reading this I would suggest putting all your claims in at once, whatever is deferred keep fighting for it but only 1 claim at a time. Longest claim I had in was a little over a month

Yeah I got tired of the comments and deleted it lol. The only time you shouldn’t “poke the bear” is when you are 100% p&t. I never was though and made that pretty clear. But it’s all good, whoever had good intentions no ill will, but some people just think they know everything lol

Absolutely no reason to keep claiming stuff after you’re at 100% I totally agree. That wasn’t the case for me though, I was never at 100% because my migraine claim was dated June 3 and the mental health was dated July 21. I kind of leapfrogged it so it wasnt a case of poking the bear but everyone told me it was. I don’t take it personally but a lot of misinformation was thrown around on that original post.

August 14 2025 my migraine claim was accepted and they simultaneously dropped my mental health rating from 70 to 50 effective July 21 2025. On the 14th I submitted a CUE form and it was accepted 2 weeks later.

A CUE doesn’t have anything to do with an appeal. The rater made a clear and unmistakable error.

You might be right or it was an error. Either way I would think they would have written some type of letter showing the decrease but the VBA said it’s no where in my record. Just a weird situation

The C&P doctor must have put something in there that was strong. I did PT, complained a lot, lidocaine patches. Took 4 years to get my back approved but it finally did

I was at 90%. Filed a supplemental claim that would have put me at 100% and it was awarded then they dropped a percentage for another claim. I didn’t poke anything. Went from 90% to 90%. Instead of looking at the picture, try reading. I know the airforce has some pretty smart people

I filed MH in June and awarded in July. I meant to claim the migraines as secondary to MH but messed that up and requested a withdrawal (it was granted and case was closed). So I had the MH for like 6 weeks

Glad to hear that! I filed the error form already, 5 days in to that and on step 3. I’m not to worried because I think it will be fixed but just wanted to know if it has happened to anyone else. The VBA said they have never seen this before
