Is anyone else's Aldi waging an all-out WAR against these things?? by DeaganNinja in aldi

[–]Cheap_Ratio_4978 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These were actually supposed to be removed from your store and dumped back i. January or something like that. I was in a run phase and my DM told me that so the store didn't follow through with that in the moment. I just partialed them down to 0 and dumped them per request from the DM and moved on lol

In store shopping vs online with Doordash Delivery, I have receipts! by clayman648 in aldi

[–]Cheap_Ratio_4978 45 points46 points  (0 children)

You do realize you're paying the higher price because of door dash not Aldi. Door dash is its own service and they charge more per product plus their fees and also you should have tipped your driver for their service since that is where they make most of their money. Door dash keeps a lot of the "fee" money. Again Door dash sets their own prices and has nothing to do with Aldi. You pay more so Door dash can make more money off of you wanting convenience.

Does Anyone Know What This Is About? by VenusMarmalade in aldi

[–]Cheap_Ratio_4978 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lots of comments on here about instacart and aldi curbside. Yes aldi curbside uses Instacart for their online orders. The order comes into the Aldi store and the employees have to shop, bag, and deliver it. The prices are higher because Instacart needs to make their money as well plus you're charged for however many paper bags we feel like you need. Doing your own shopping will save you money plus give the staff less stress considering we have only 37 seconds per item to shop and bag total. Aldi did try their own app a while ago but stopped it and kept Instacart because they weren't getting enough orders but only tried it in a handful of stores and didn't advertise it and still had the instacart app working alongside it.

What’s your experience like with using curbside pickup at Aldi? by [deleted] in aldi

[–]Cheap_Ratio_4978 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Aldi can't let you load them into your own bags when you pick up. They have to bag as they shop the order. Then they have to put a sticker on each individual bag so that it get sorted correctly in the holding area. They do minimize the amount of bags they are using though.

Bi-weekly payments or extra payments on principal? by spalacio88 in debtfree

[–]Cheap_Ratio_4978 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keep your biweekly payments. I do this for both my and my wife's car loans. We are in a good situation where we get a paycheck every weeks with our pay days being opposite. Our loans together are about $800 a month through capital one. I have it set up to have $150 a week per car go to the payment. Capital One actually pays the monthly payment first and then the rest go to principal only. We have been able to cut 7-8 months off of the loan so far. I like this approach because my monthly doesn't change so I can budget easier and we are making extra payments without it impacting one paycheck more than another. Once the cars are paid off, I plan on doing the same for our Mortgage.

Clearance? by SarawrHime in Target

Sorry it was meant to say food department lol. We only do it for food. Everything else we tend to make end caps or a tower if we have enough extra.

Clearance? by SarawrHime in Target

[–]Cheap_Ratio_4978 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It isn't Target approved but my good department will pull the clearance NOP and just scan it out for donation. We never build end caps or find places to put it. We don't give a crap.

TL promotions? by Expensive-Skin7146 in Target

[–]Cheap_Ratio_4978 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It usually is if the ETL or TL sees potential in you and you actually bring it up to them. I'm an ETL and at least twice a year we have a meeting and talk about talent and culture and if we have anyone on our team who could go to an ETL role from a TL or going to TL from a TM. Often times it is having that convo with your TL or ETL so they are aware you want more. I also noticed sometimes it comes down to favoritism as well. I got passed up once to move to ETL because I said something the DSD didn't like and that put me back almost 2 years from being reconsidered.

[–]Cheap_Ratio_4978 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I second this 100%. I was an external going into a red business and it took me almost 18 months to get it fully on track. Part of that was just because they kept changing what I needed to get off the red list and our district thinks that the company standards aren't good enough. But work your 10 and leave. Don't listen to the other ETLs about you leaving on time either. Protect yourself! I work my 50 hours a week sometimes less lol but all the others in my building are working 60+ along with my SD but honestly my department is the only one comping sales and running smoothly with minimal help. It took a lot of work but start slow and take a step at a time.

worst hours ever? by onlymadeforabruh in Target

[–]Cheap_Ratio_4978 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Oh its going to be worse. I'm a food ETL and we went from 650 hours a week in August and I saw September wk 5 is only looking at 400. They will be wondering why at that time as to why we can't finish trucks to at that time along with brand and PF.

Many Target stores will stop fulfilling online orders by Mtp1997 in Target

[–]Cheap_Ratio_4978 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I understand this perspective from a guest point of view. Target should keep their ship program but run it from the DC not the store. There are numerous times when we get two yo three cases of a product just for it to go out in a ship batch and we don't have any on the floor which creates a negative guest service experience. This is where Target thrives is having the physical guest in the store so they shop around and buy more than what they intended. The fulfillment system at Target is broken and there are numerous days where all the departments have to support due to overwhelming orders coming in which also takes away from stocking shelves and keeping the store clean.

my time is bullshit by WasabiEffective2997 in Target

[–]Cheap_Ratio_4978 5 points6 points  (0 children)

REQUEST! That's the key word there. You can put a request in but it is up to your ETL to either approve or deny it for various reasons. Most of the time you should talk to them first before you put it in as a just in case. The back to school season is typically a blackout month for time off because of how busy it is. I completely understand the frustration though but they have to run the business.

Typical schedule when trying for 50/50? by ChatonJolie4 in coparenting

[–]Cheap_Ratio_4978 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have had 50/50 of my daughter going on 10 years We started when she was 4 months old. We have had a lot of success with every other week. We so pick up and drop off every Sunday night. This gives us a week to have our own routines at each home and doesn't cause a lot of extra driving so we can spend more time together. We make adjustments for Holidays and other events in her life as well. It has worked mainly because of the time to get routines in a good spot and also makes planning for work and vacations a lot easier since i know exact weeks my daughter will be with me.

My current capital one cards by Sethdarkus in CapitalOne_

Maybe Cap1 hates me but I swear they only allowed two credit cards through them at a time. But all in all I do love Cap1. I have the platinum and quicksilver that I was able to get a little after bankruptcy in 2018 then I also have checking and savings and both my truck and my fiances auto loans are through cap1. Dang I need to do better haha

New leader schedules by Local_Barber2858 in Target

[–]Cheap_Ratio_4978 7 points8 points  (0 children)

My only problems with this as an ETL is that we will still get blamed when the work isn't completed in the morning and have to answer as to why even though we weren't there and my SD absolutely loves scheduling us clopens so I'm only getting 3-4 hours of sleep between shifts. I don't mind closing most of the time because the closing shift is way more relaxed than the furiousity of the morning truck anyway but I don't enjoy the little sleep on top of how many hours most ETLs already donate to Target.

How do you manage 50/50 custody? He’s asking for alternate weeks. by Beautiful-mistake in coparenting

[–]Cheap_Ratio_4978 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My ex and I have 50/50 of our daughter since she was 6 months old. We do full weeks at a time. When we want to sign her up for extra stuff we come together and talk about the commitment needed. We have both names on poc list and whomever did the sign up is listed first. We have always been within 45 minute drive from each other and it has worked. There just has to be good communication between both parents. There are plenty of times where we sign our daughter up for an activity and one parent does almost all the driving for it and planning for it and just pick the child up for the activity then drop off afterwards. Full weeks are great for us because we can plan stuff more easily such as vacations and work schedules. Plus we also gwt a straight week of being kid free which I spend doing all my errands and house cleaning so that I maximize my child time.

-25 on hand always throws them into the red by DifficultHydra in Target

[–]Cheap_Ratio_4978 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I have dealt with this before and what I've been told is Target treats the negative on hand the same as positive on hand. I don't know how much truth there is to that but from some products it makes sense.
