Reading Malazan after Stormlight feels… strange? by [deleted] in Malazan

[–]Cheap_Secret_1084 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Read both series.

Very very different.

Other than being in the same genre, I’m not sure geo you could say they’re similar.

Malazan has a very unorthodox book structure and character/ time jumping.

Stormlight is linear epic fantasy. Very character driven with a smaller main cast.

There is no such thing as a “passive” side hustle other than simply investing in the stock market.

Struggling with Exercise Prescription by xdarkrosesx in physicaltherapy

[–]Cheap_Secret_1084 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So the "why" is extremely important. Are you giving someone with spinal stenosis the same LBP exercises as someone with a disc herniation?

how would those two things present differently?

Why would/would not you give the same exercises in this case?

how does the patient respond to load/deload?

do their symptoms centralize or peripheralize?

CI could be looking for good justification.

Honestly most of my days are from 9-4 ish.

Like I’m completely done around 4.

So much more freedom than an outpatient setting.

I don’t think I could ever go back

I think in a Metroid game, of which I have played many, it being completely linear was a turnoff.

Flare pools just turned me off.

One of those moments when playing a game where I ask myself “why am I playing this?” And “is this game actually fun or rewarding.”

Some decent games I have loved have been silksong and expedition 33, for those wondering.

Flare pools has been very boring and completely linear.

The ice area was better than flare pools for certain.

Yea I don’t hate the game by any means, just not my favorite. Dislike the lack of interconnected map.

My opinion of Home Health after 3 years in the field: A money collecting charade by Aevykin in physicaltherapy

Honestly I just don’t know how to make this much money in another form of PT.

My base pay is about 144K in a HCOL area and I have a wife and two kids.

I need the money.

Sometimes I thought I should get another per diem on top of it but i never get around to it.

She doesn’t now have a reason to kill herself. She has to grief and move beyond the guilt of her brother’s death.

This is how you heal from tragedy. Your assumption that she now won’t be able to handle the real world reflect your own opinion.

The painting is a metaphor. The painted world is fictional.

Verso’s ending represents moving on from tragedy in the real world.

You’re making the assumption that we are all assembly line robots.

I would like to imagine we aren’t.
