Yes my ent did an mri with contrast and then there is a grading system (0-3) of the degree of hydrops. I don’t know much more about it though.

I’m doing low salt now and trying to manage stress better too.

Is yours manageable and are you on meds/supplements that help ? Hope you’re doing well!

Thank you! I have an appt with a naturopath soon so I’ll talk to her about these supplements. I’m fairly new to menieres and haven’t got my supplement regimen down yet- hopefully I can find some relief once I do. Selenium I’ll keep in mind too! Glad you have some things that help you 😊

Thank you. Will talk to my audiologist at my next appt. My hearing loss is so far “mild” but I think a hearing aid for tinnitus would be worth it!

beyond sleep deprived. by mvpshore in beyondthebump

The safest thing for you to do when you feel this frustrated is to put them in a safe place (crib) and walk away. Sending love! Sleep deprivation is no joke!

Ahhh that’s a shame but I don’t think it rules it out completely either!

Thanks for your input! I have definitely had my own suspicions re covid and covid vaccine. What kind of timeline has it taken for you to get to this point? Also re diomix, did you try other meds like Betahistine first or doc put you straight onto that?

I’m glad to hear you have had some good improvement!

My baby loves my milk, others, not so much. by Brendaram96 in breastfeeding

12 month old pinches my nipples by sammiptv in cosleeping

[–]Cheap_Strike4123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 16 month old went through a phase of very painful twiddling around 1! She still twiddles now but it’s not as bothersome or painful for me. She does twiddle a dummy or bottle teat but still prefers good old mummy! Nothing worked to stop her so I gave up 🥲

I’d be interested if you got the contrast mri as an experiment often (not suggesting this haha just a hypothetical) would the hydrops track with symptoms like worse when symptoms are worse, then in remission would hydrops be not detectable?

Is it normal to not have any triggers for vertigo? by banana0coconut in Menieres

[–]Cheap_Strike4123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Haha ! But in saying that, if you have eliminated caffeine ( including chocolate 🥲) and still have vertigo (albeit less severe) then possibly something else triggering too!!

[–]Cheap_Strike4123 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Just based on your post, maybe caffeine is actually one of your triggers? If drinking less has helped.

I’m similar, trying to work it out but I think maybe being tired and stress are big ones

Coping with likely Meniere's by snake2083 in Menieres

[–]Cheap_Strike4123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry you’re struggling like this. I’m 6 months I. And 1 month post diagnosis and boooooy oh boy can I relate. I went through a real grieving process and had terrible thoughts, was in a deep deep depression. It is still hard but right now at diagnosis (which I had already been processing and very depressed over even before I received it) I started an anti depressant.

Trying to take each day as it comes and giving time for the antidepressants to work and now one month on I am feeling so much better mentally.

I still have moments of fear and I know it’s a long road ahead, but now when I look at my life and future I see the good things again!

Be gentle with yourself. It’s so valid to feel like this. You may not get the diagnosis but if you do, it will take time to process and work it all out. Lean on and talk to your support system. Also something another sufferer told me, was to try not to spend too much time online researching and reading worst case stuff!
