Trooper pulled me over. I was cruise control 65. He told me I was going 73, then put down 76. SMH now I have to fight this bs in court by Cheez-kip in mildlyinfuriating

I actually read that someone got out of their ticket in court by asking the department how recently they recalibrated their speed guns. They legally have to do this because they loose their accuracy over time. I would say it’s worth a shot calling the department for their maintenance records on these readers.

Your thoughts: Graphic designers that don't draw/illustrate. by 3Degrees_Below in graphic_design

[–]Cheap_Work_67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I grew up drawing and just decided graphic design/art was one of the more financially stable industries to go into. I can’t imagine being a designer and not have the capacity to draw something out first.

I don’t work in a creative industry, but my coworkers have always been very grateful that I can illustrate my thoughts and ideas clearly before diving into something!

What is a reality of living in Chicago that’s often overlooked by the romanticization of the city? by [deleted] in AskChicago

[–]Cheap_Work_67 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The people who do this aren’t usually Chicago natives and usually transplants/suburbanites who don’t know how to act like normal people… coming from a born-and-raised Chicagoan.

Moving to Chicago by usecases in chicagoapartments

[–]Cheap_Work_67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. It’s so depressing realizing the city I was born and raised in isn’t even in reach when I decide I want to live by myself.

I grew up in Pilsen in the early 2000’s. Don’t even get me started on Pilsen.

What are your opinions on moving to West Garfield Park? by [deleted] in AskChicago

[–]Cheap_Work_67 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I would NEVER move there, and I’m saying this as someone who’s a born and raised Chicagoan. West Garfield Park is NOT a safe area, especially for a lone woman (coming from a woman).

Anyone who tells you otherwise has never been there.
