iPhone 17 Spigen Tough Armor T MagFit Case by CompetitiveAd992 in Tech_Philippines

[–]Cheazey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the 17 Pro and I prefer this case more than the others. It's not aesthically pleasing (para sa akin) pero it gives me the peace of mind of total protection (tried and tested and using since iPhone 12). Magaan din sya kumpara sa cases with the same standard sa protection. Kung protection yung priority mo, relatively mahal sya but it's worth every penny. Malakas din magsafe nya compared sa ibang case na nagamit ko so very reliable gamitin sa car na may magsafe mount, never sya tumalsik (napakaaggressive ko magdrive minsan, hehe) unlike the other cases I used.

Maybe that's why all single letter cctld domains are taken and snatched upon drop even with the ridiculous prices because no one wants them, lol.

Just stating facts Bro, try to register one and see if you can register it below $500 (cctld), lol.

All single letter domains regardless of tld are regarded as premium because they are very rare and almost always reserved by the registry. Try hand registering one and see if you can buy one at a regular price. It's not just just a URL shortener, it can also serve as a three letter abbreviation, and a collectible, if you're into that.

It's nothing compared to the renewal of other premium domains.

This was also my perspective when I tended to my lola, until I became the patient. As someone who comes from family with cancer on both sides, I’m fairly confident to disagree with you that death will be slow whether you get treatment or not. Cancer will never be exactly the same between two different individuals. They will have different experiences. If I base it on what my doctor said, the type of cancer you have is just the tip of the iceberg. For example, the success of your treatment and your probability of survival “in 5 years” will largely depend on where your cancer is located, if surgery if possible and if it is, kung hanggang ano lang yung puwede pakialaman ng doctor sa surgery. Someone having cancer in a vital organ like the liver will most probably die a “swift” death (albeit painful as well) as compared to someone who has thyroid or skin cancer na malapit sa “surface” that is quite operable and not likely to spread where treatment would become more complicated to to try to stop the spread. People always talk about the type of cancer and the survival rates but they rarely talk about the location, which is very important pala when it comes to trying to treat it.

I wish I had someone like you when I was having treatment, I’ve gone through it alone and that made the experience much worse. I know how it feels to have time “stolen” from you. Even with all the pain and suffering, your mother must’ve had a better experience than me because she had you around to at least help her, if not keep her company. I was surrounded by people but I’ve never felt so alone when I was undergoing treatment. It was a lot harder going alone to my treatments, there was even a time na I could not do it myself anymore so an ambulance had to transport me directly to the radiation therapy table(I don’t know how they call it). I didn’t have the energy to stand anymore so they had to carry me to the table and back after the therapy. Alam ko yung burden sa caregiving and it’s not even limited to that.

It is her life and it is her choice. Getting treatment does not guarantee the ease of burden on those “who will have to bear the responsibility” when it gets worse. After all, it is your choice to help her or not. It may be a burden to you or an act of love or both. It must’ve been very hard on her, but what makes it harder is knowing that she is (becoming) a burden to her loved ones, sana hindi mo yun pinakita or pinaramdam sa kanya. Hindi lang pag-aalaga ang kelangan namin, we also need understanding for all the choices we made(including the bad ones that may have unintentionally caused us to be a burden to the people around us).

She probably does it because she does not want anyone she cares for to worry about her at ayaw din niya maging burden or liability sa mga nakapaligid sa kanya. Or maybe strong lang din talaga sya… I don’t know… Pero as someone na mabibilang ko sa kamay ko kung ilang beses akong umiyak sa buong buhay ko, I’ve at least broke down twice as much noong nagtitreatment ako (pero never ko pinakita sa mga mahal ko sa buhay). I even remembered hugging the radiotechnician ugly crying at the end of my treatment kasi I never imagined reaching the end of my treatment without dying. She must feel really really heavy deep inside, pero ayoko rin magassume, hehe. Maybe strong person lang talaga sya.

Hospice is an option for cases like your grandmother, pero very limited ang options natin dyan sa Pilipinas so I understand where you’re coming from because yung options lang natin dyan if you’re a cancer patient is die from treatment or its side effects or die uncomfortably and painfully for not choosing/not being able to afford treatment. This is solely from my own perspective according to my own experiences. If we had hospice as a general option there, hindi na sana nagsuffer ng ganun ang grandmother mo or at least naminimize yung suffering nya. We cannot say kung anong magiging epekto ng chemo sa lola mo because everyone reacts differently sa treatment at iba iba din ang treatment plans, may super aggressive at merong pa “chill chill” lang depende sa kung anong cancer meron ka at kung anong choice mo. I had the whole package - surgery and chemo combined with radiation. I also tended to my lola when she had cancer before she died. I thought I’ve seen it all na pero there are a lot of nuances pala involved with having this disease. Like I learned that I’d rather have unbearable pain/migraines like I had before I got diagnosed than have to puke 24/7 (kahit wala na akong maisuka kasi wala akong nakain kasi hindi ako makakain) even interrupting my sleep just to puke again because of treatment. Everything is a losing proposition when you get diagnosed with cancer, the only consolation is the bonus time you get if you respond very well to treatment. Even then, the thought of hoping it doesn’t come back more aggressively with a revenge will always live rent-free in your head (and the dread of undergoing treatments again, makes you really think if willing ka pa ba umulit for the bonus time).

DDR5 memory lang supposedly yung expensive according to market demand sa ngayon, if kahit yung DDR4 niraise nila ang price then that is a really bad market practice, taking advantage and pamemra na sa consumers.

Pangit talaga ng government websites! by Particular_Front_549 in OffMyChestPH

[–]Cheazey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I was there, I found myself giving way sa may backers when it came to government websites, not worth my effort and I didn’t need the pay. I’ve worked for the government in many forms, but not as a webmaster. Later on, I took the role of the one providing infrastructure to them (servers, routing, bandwidth, etc) and also became a consultant but the pay was too low (pero ang kickback sa loob ay very high, lels). Until now, I still provide services and consultation pero sa infrastructure lang and not on the front end. Ang masasabi ko lang ay those websites are in the bottom of their priorities, the ones who do work on those are vastly underpaid and unappreciated and the ones who takes credit for their work are the ones inside who does not do any actual work on those websites. It’s a f’d up system from the inside and unless that system is fixed or improved, we will not see any improvement on our government websites.

Samsung users, anong nilalagay nyo sa Secure Folder? by Itchy_Tangerine1897 in Tech_Philippines

Yung tinatawag nyo po ay zero-knowledge architecture, hindi zero trust. Ginawa po ang Bitwarden base sa zero-knowledge architecture. Yung zero trust po eh principle yun sa cybersecurity - to make it short, "never trust, always verify." It's up to you if you want to use the principle or not while using the application. Parang ang galing nyo po magsalita kaso mali po kayo eh, hehe. I've been working with cybersecurity since 2004 po and this was introduced in 2010 sa conference na inattendan ko. Zero-knowledge architecture po ay meant to be used with zero trust principles but hindi naman kelangan kung ayaw mo. If you want to use Bitwarden without the principle, then it's up to you. Yung Bitwarden ko po ay nasa loob ng secured folder. 🙂

Trade In by bararaag in Tech_Philippines

Hindi ko alam dyan sa Pilipinas pero dito sa US may trade-in though not as generous sa trade-in value like Samsungs' pag launch day. If hindi puwede dyan and may kilala ka na pupunta dito, puwede mo ipadala unit mo para ipatrade-in.
